1.0− Cockroach in the room. Refusal to refund when we want to leave early. door not close, no sponge or soap to clean dishes. No water, no soap for shower.

2.0Only about a 5-minute walk to the beach.
− I booked Sunrise Apartelle through Booking.com, but when I arrived, the room was crawling with ants — the bed and pillow were infested, completely uninhabitable. I didn’t stay at all. No alternative room was offered, no apology, and no attempt was made to fix the situation. I realise this is a budget room but some basic standard of hygiene is expected. Booking.com told me to contact the property directly. The man I reached said he had nothing to do with running it and couldn’t issue a refund. So I was left with nothing — not even basic accountability. Also worth noting: no backup generator, so expect power cuts with no aircon, no lights, and no support, although we were brought a candle. A total waste of time and money. Neither the property nor Booking.com took any responsibility. Book elsewhere.
A pleasant stay
6.0Our host waited up for us for a late check-in which we greatly appreciated. She was very nice. There were good bars and restaurants close by. It was nice to have some cooking facilities and full-size fridge in the room. Walking distance to the beach and transport wasn't a big hassle.
− First thing we saw on entering the room was a large cockroach and our room was quite run down. Water pressure was very weak. Bathroom door had two large patches on it and we had almost a full day with no water as the room next door had a leak. We booked out a day early due to changed travel arrangements and asked for a refund for one day due to travel and the day with no water but we were advised that this was not possible and we would need to approach Booking.com to request a refund.
