It was so so
8.0It was good but the aircon wasn’t working.
Customer service was great. The staff were lovely and friendly which made my stay enjoyable
7.0I loved the rooftop pool and bar and liked how close it was to Mc Donald’s
− I didn’t like the breakfast menu
Avoid
2.0Not a place to go, despite an impressive rooftop swimming pool with great views. Breakfast service was beneath any standard, internet inaccessible and elevators unreliable in service.
A very disappointed 1 night stay- worst service
1.0I booked Nalagi Jotel just for 1 night because we were visiting Fiji for just 1 night. It was my nephews wedding about 5 minutes away, and all the other families stayed in an apartment, but I wanted my kids to have the best stay, even if it was for a few hours. I requested for an early check in at around 12pm as I would be leaving really early the next morning for the airport. I was ready to pay when they said that it will be $25 an hour. The booking was for 3 people. Me and my 2 sons, 18yrs and 10 yrs.
− When we arrived at the hotel at 11:30am the reception was very busy. We waited patiently. We waited for about 40 minutes before it was our turn. By this time, all 3 of us are super tired as we were very busy with the wedding here in New Zealand, and we flew to nadi for the final day of the wedding. The receptionist told us that they do not have any rooms available, and we have to wait for the normal check-in time at 2:00 pm. I requested her, told her that we are really tired and if they can prioritise us, we would really appreciate it. I also noticed that another couple who was infrnt of us was offered to take a twin room right then because it was ready. And they took that room. But I had already requested an early check-in, but my request was ignored. My kids were getting agitated so we asked if we could eat at the restaurant. We walked into the restaurant, and they were setting up a buffet. We asked if the lunch was buffet?? The person at the lunchroom reception was so rude, and he asked me, "Are you with the group?? I said no, but we would like to eat. He said this setup is for our group, and you have to order from our menu. He handed us the menu. By this time, my 18 year old son was getting very annoyed with this type of service. So we came back to the reception and asked the lady if we could leave our bags here and go out to eat. She said yes. We went out for lunch and returned at 2 pm. We were told that our room was ready. We went to the room, and it was basically empty. There were only 2 towels. I drinking glass and only 1 cup. There was no extra bed, no towel for the 3rd person, no hand towel, no face towel, no bath mat, no blanket, no pool towel. Because we only had a few hours before we had to leave for the wedding, the kids wanted to go to the pool. So they went. When I was leaving the room, there was a housekeeping lady outside the room opposite us. I went to her and explained that we don't have so many things in the room.
Terrible
2.0We had a very disappointing 3-day stay at Nalagi Hotel. Unfortunately, the staff were not very welcoming, and the room service was poor throughout our stay. We stayed in Room 624, and every day we had to call to request basic items such as towels, bath mats, and hand towels, which should have been provided without having to ask. The most disappointing part of our stay was the breakfast service. Our booking included breakfast, but when I requested to have breakfast brought to our room for our little toddler, my request was denied. As a result, we had to order breakfast from outside every morning, even though breakfast was included in the price we paid. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and we did not feel that the service met the standard we expected. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel for families with young children.
Not totally worth the price but overall a clean, convenient hotel
6.0As was the case with all accomodations I've stayed in Fiji, the staff are friendly, helpful and facilitate a relaxing atmosphere. If you need anything, don't be afraid to just ask. Two restaurants and a McDonald's downstairs provide variety when everything is only accessible by car. Your dinner might not match the menu's description at the hotel restaurant but it's still yummy. Rooftop pool great! Beautiful view. We spent a lot of time here hanging out.
− This is a fairly expensive hotel for what you get but it is clean and the rooms are spacious. $200 a night will get you further in other places though. You need a car or some organised form of transport to get around. It's not totally safe on the streets at night so the rooftop provides a nice place to hang out. We stayed in a room by the elevators and I wish we were given a room further down the hall. A TV played an ad for the hotel outside the elevators every day. It would start playing its hauntingly generic 10 note loop at 6am. Unfortunately, I didn't have one full night's sleep during our stay. Since we were right outside the elevators, we also were woken up by people checking in late or early, OR by rude travellers who were drunk and noisy at 4am. The rooms let in a lot of noise so if the people upstairs or next door were loud, we heard them. Come the weekend, the hotel became a full house: water running all the time, furniture being dragged across the floors, shouty get-togethers... generally a nice, lively atmosphere but didn't make for a restful getaway after a week of no sleep. Only Fiji TV channels with lots of lag. Bring a USB with movies and music if you want your own entertainment.
