This guy has it all! The owner welcomes you in his own home like it was yours. First of All, you get a tour of his marvellous home which has so many hidden gimmicks that you could look around for days and still find new things (like a rainshower in the backyard, a private waterfall, a nice and clean chillout area, an escalator for your bags and breakfast etc). Apart from the home he has crafted over the years he loves to share his knowledge about the region and is helpful with any needs you have. All the rooms are nice but we would reccomend to book the treehouse lodge as it stands out. The hotel is not too close to all the Main attractions (about 30min to La Fortuna, about 40min to Arenal 1968) but still is definitely worth checking out and better than any accomodation we could have thought of in La Fortuna. Simply plan your day accordingly and you'll be fine. Definitely do reccomend and looking forward to a possible future stay!

Jarabacoa is a true gem. It is excellent, eccentric and absolutely superb! Ozkar is very personable and is an outstanding host who will take excellent care of you and provide you with great information about Arenal with maps! He takes an amazing place and his professionalism and precision make it supreme. He also makes an excellent breakfast that has a very good range of daily options. Ozkar and Maricel are generous hosts that treat you better than family. Jarabacoa has a great jungle vibe with a sloth that sometimes is around and a few iguanas around in the yard. I would recommend to have transportation with this destination.

The house itself is very cool and Oskar is very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that it was a bit far from La Fortuna.

Wow! What an amazing place. We had the best time at Jarabacoa. Oscar is the nicest, funniest, most genuine, helpful and friendly host you will ever find. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to be away from the busy La Fortuna but close enough to visit everything in the area if you have a car. Oscar has the friendliest most lovable dogs and a resident sloth that hangs around the property! We cycled to the local river with Oscar and the dogs. All rooms are lovely but we stayed in the Treehouse which was amazing. Once you see it you will want to stay in there. Breakfast is delivered up to the Treehouse by Oscar by means of a pulley system which is great fun. Breakfast was absolutely delicious band Oscar prepared a different type of breakfast each day and lots of it! I had the best night's sleep I have ever had in the suspended bed listening to the sounds of the forest. Birdwatching from the Treehouse terrace in the morning was fantastic. Oscar is an amazing cook and offers home made traditional dinners at a great price. There is a lovely small pool for chilling and lovely areas for relaxing. Oscar helped us with planning our days and making car hire and trip arrangements for us. The whole place is totally unique and special. I guarantee you will never stay anywhere quite like it, it has soul and has been built by Oscar with love. We extended our stay as we didn't want to leave! Don't miss out on this special experience.

Great and informative host! Ozcar shows true Costa Rican hospitality. Stayed in the tree house suite and it was really clean and cozy! Great concept. Would fall asleep on the hammocks that are in the balcony every night. The hanging bed was so cool too! Greatest sleep ever. Would stay here again.
