We had a wonderfully peaceful stay and would happily recommend the owners and the accommodation.
10.0The property is in a very quiet and peaceful location adjacent to the River Doon with walks right on the doorstep along the river and into the owner’s wood. Inside the property is spacious , clean and very well equipped. The bedroom is surrounded by trees and it almost feels like you are sleeping in a tree house. The host Chris greeted us on arrival and introduced us to the property and the area and was always available to answer any queries that we had.

10.0Everything about Doonbank Cottage exceeded my expectations! Chris gave us a nice welcome to the property, which is set in a stunning location, on Chris's wonderful piece of land. Doonbank Cottage was so clean and tidy with plenty of space for us and our dogs. There was plenty of information in a very thoughtful pack that was in the cottage and I loved the fact that we had our own small garden to the side. We will definitely be back to explore some more of Ayr. There is so much to see and do in the area with good ferry access to the isle of Arran.

10.0Stunning property in a beautiful peaceful location. Super comfortable bed. Chris gave us a friendly welcome and lovely home-baked scones. Very handy for touring local tourist spots. I would highly recommend staying at this high quality accomodation it just wasn't long enough for us. We hope to return one day.
