10.0Unser Aufenthalt im Bakenskraal Ostrich Palace war einfach rundum gelungen. Die Lage ist traumhaft – ruhig und etwas außerhalb von Oudtshoorn, eingebettet in die weite Landschaft. Perfekt, um abzuschalten. Das Haupthaus im Kolonialstil hat viel Charme und einen klassischen, stilvollen Charakter, der gut zur Umgebung passt. Es gab ein sehr umfangreich zubereitetes und leckeres Frühstück sowie die Option für ein hervorragendes Drei-Gänge-Menü am Abend – beides auf hohem Niveau. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, herzlich und professionell – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen.

8.0Wonderful breakfast buffet every morning! Staff very friendly and helpful - made up single beds on short notice, night light lit on our stoep, late breakfast delivered to our room, car washed before we went home.
− Reception could have been better. Not even water or welcome drink. Would have liked to know more about the house and it's history (tour). Modern rooms were build separate from main house that was "the palace", totally not what I expected. Dirt road to Palace very dark at night and in bad condition. Thought we would see lot of ostriches but apparently they were at another location. Messages were not conveyed to the property as that was also handled at another location.

9.0Karin was a kind and attentive host. Made us feel really welcome. Dirkie also impressed us all with his eagerness to help and smiling face. The breakfast was high class thank you!
