The apartment is lovely, beautifully located at the heart of Winsor, amidst everything. If you are comfortable with stairs, it's nicely set with a separate level bedroom. The kitchen living room dining room arrangement was great.

− The mattress.

Would love to return when London is not experiencing a heatwave.

Location is ideal. Staff are welcoming and obliging. Quick to respond to queries. Bus to Heathrow stops at the front door.

Location is the only good thing.

− Check in time is supposed to be 3pm and I told the owner in advance that I would arrive around 3.15pm but I was kept waiting for a full hour outside the property before someone arrived with the key (no advance warning that 3.15pm entry wasn’t possible). And then I was also asked to leave the property early as the owner needed access! The apartment is like a down-at-heel student flat. The main stairway and also the flat itself has a kind of musty ‘old carpets’ smell, even with all the windows open. The apartment is at the top of 50+ uneven stairs. And the bedroom is up an incredibly steep wooden staircase - need to walk sideways to come down those stairs. The ‘bathroom’ is so narrow that it’s almost impossible to move past the basin when the door is shut. The drains are blocked and there is mould around the shower tray. The shower turned freezing cold half way through my shower and nothing I did would make it turn warm again. The furnishings and fittings are tired. The hob is stained. The fridge could do with a deep clean. There were tangles of wires and cables in various places which didn’t feel safe. Whilst the apartment had a basic level of cleanliness, it wasn’t exactly sparkling eg dirty windows, dust, the hob, fridge and shower tray as mentioned above. No provision of any basic complimentary items for the guest - not even a small bottle of shower gel / shampoo (just a half used container of hand wash on the basin). No individually wrapped coffee sachets or breakfast tea bags - instead an unsealed container of coffee granules (who knows how long they had been there) and no individually wrapped tea bags apart from a pile of peppermint teabags which were presumably left over from someone else’s stay. The TV doesn’t work. At least, it doesn’t work by pressing the buttons on the remote. If there is some special way to turn it on, the owner should provide information to help guests with that.
