The location was nice and out of the way with a great view of the volcano. Listening to the volcano rumbling while I was sleeping was really cool. Our host was amazing and I can't wait to visit him again.

− My only request would be for a more permanent power situation as well as hot water for the shower.

The location was incredible. Fantastic views of the volcano. We could hear it rumbling throughout the day and night. Very friendly hosts, Daniel and Chella arranged our transfers to and from the airport and also organised our trip to the volcano. Chella cooked us a traditional evening meal and breakfast and walked with us down to her village so we could see where she lived.

Angela and Daniel are beautiful people. They are very accomodating and Angela has the BEST cooking/local food. The view from the bungalow is spectacular. The water from the tap is drinkable, fresh off the mountain. The bed is very comfortable and warm blankets. There are hundreds of tiny pigs running around that my son absolutely loved. He played with the kids from the village and we went to a Kastom ceremony. Angela helped provide us with gifts to take to the ceremony. We felt very lucky to be able to watch. They provided a solar battery for charging phones. There is no mosquito at all. I would recommend grabbing some snacks to have in between meals if you are the peckish type. This was a beautiful experience, I didn’t know what to expect, but if you would like to get off the beaten track and experience real Tanna, this is the place for you. I recommend 3 nights to see sights and village.

Nous avons aimé nous immerger dans un milieu loin de nos standards européens , dans un environnement naturel et humain préservé, pour nous inoubliable. La réussite du séjour tient également à la gentillesse de nos souriants hôtes et à leurs propositions de découvertes extraordinaires ( payantes et organisées par leur soin): éruptions au plus près du volcan, culture tribale, baignade mémorable dans les hot springs à l'approche de la nuit. Merci encore et bravo à cette famille entreprenante et très sympathique: la mère cuisine et nous sert des plats savoureux, la fille guide nos pas dans les sentiers, le fils joue avec les enfants ravis des occupants du gîte qu'il intègre dans le village... La convivialité s'invite également entre les clients des deux logements, réunis autour d'une même table à l'heure des repas et pendant les sorties organisées.

− Compte tenu des conditions de vie locales, nous avons accepté de n'avoir qu'un filet d'eau froide pour nous laver, d'être confrontés à l'absence d'éclairage la dernière nuit car nous avions rechargé nos portables ( batterie alimentée par l'énergie solaire) et de dormir sans drap de dessus sous la couverture. Pour le portable, notez que nos hôtes proposent un rechargement chez eux. Enfin, ces petits désagréments seront largement compensés par l'expérience inoubliable que vous vivrez.
