Cosy dales cottage

10.0

Lovely cosy cottage with log burner and bags of charm. Fantastic location, close to town with its own parking. Welcome pack a thoughtful addition along with firewood.

One of the double mattresses was much comfier than the other, but I guess its a personal choice.

Short but very sweet

10.0

The cottage was ideal for us and we found it very handy being in the town, , nice and quaint ,everything you needed, I notice many comment about a washing machine but when I go on holiday I dont want to wash anything, except dishes, which again doesnt need a machine. Thankyou to the owners for providing us nice accommodation for a nice few days. Hawes is full of history as is Gayle so I was happy as I love Industrial archaeology.

The parking was a squeeze the neighbours to the left had parked a camper van to the right of us and had strung out a cable across the front of our cottage into the van, they had also encroached somewhat on the cottage area, we managed but only .The first night we were there, there was heavy rain and the back yard area did get quite deep in water , we were concerned it might enter the house but it didnt. Maybe this is just down to the lay out, or maybe blocked drains?? Be nice also to have a few books about Wensleydale, the history etc, just a thought

Good for local attractions, central to all the areas we like in Yorkshire.

Location was good. Centre of Hawes. Close to all amenities.

Cottage wasn’t to our standard of cleanliness.

Exceptional

The cottage was quaint and well located. Great parking space right outside and a lovely little back yard that gets the sun most of the day (when it's out).
