Overall, we enjoyed our stay because the location is hard to beat, but we don’t feel the accommodations matched the pric
6.0West Beach Resort has one huge advantage: the location. The setting on Orcas Island is absolutely breathtaking, and waking up to the surroundings made our stay memorable. We also appreciated that the cabin felt a bit more remote and private, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. The dock is an amazing place to sit and watch the ocean. While we did not spot whales during our stay, we did actually see 6 killer whales right in front of the resort and dock when we were on a whale watching tour during our stay in Friday Harbor; ehat are the odds!
− That said, we were disappointed with the cabin itself. It felt quite outdated and didn’t live up to the “deluxe” description. The listing also advertised a partial sea view, but in reality the trees block most of the view, so we didn’t feel that description was accurate. In addition, the listing mentioned both a washing machine and a dishwasher, as well as a seperate bedroom and champagne/wine for guests, but none of that was actually present, which was frustrating. Especially with a baby, the washing machine missing was a big disappointment. The bed was also on the small side and quite squeaky, making it less comfortable than we had hoped. The staff experience was mixed. Some team members were incredibly friendly, cheerful, and welcoming, while others came across as indifferent and didn’t make us feel particularly welcome.

10.0Beautiful location, clean , comfortable with a great set up in the kitchen. Relaxed vibe throughout the property. Loved the fire pit and chairs out front of every cabin!

10.0Remote, quiet area, beautiful cottage on the beach with all amenities inside & outside: fully equipped kitchen, cozy bedrooms, wood stove with a bundle of wood ready to use, bbq outside, picnic table & chairs on the beach with fire pit!
