Worst Hotel Experience

We had to stay at this hotel for a lacrosse tournament. We are Marriott owners and long time Gold members. This experience was the worst I can remember in 35 years of traveling! There is no valet so keep that in mind if you are traveling with a lot of sport equipment and luggage. We had to track down a front desk person to help us at 9pm when we arrived. There were numerous families camped in the lobby eating dinner and enjoying bottles of wine- very strange until we found out we were one of the lucky ones to have a room available. Several families told us there were waiting for hours for a room. We made our way to our room only to find we couldn’t access the room because a full size bed was left in the hallway?! I can’t make this up- see pictures. We had to make our way back downstairs, find the hotel clerk who said she would send someone to assist. After waiting 30 minutes I found a security guard and asked her to assist me in moving the bed. Unreal! Upon entering the room we were all saddened- there’s no way these rooms are newly renovated. We were missing tile around our door and we were told they had to remove it to properly close the door- which didn’t make me feel safe at all. We asked for another room but none were available- hence the lobby full of guests. We’re now winding down day 2 at 4pm EST and just returned to our room only to find it has not been serviced AGAIN! The first day we thought we missed service as we left the room at 10am and returned at 6pm. We asked for additional towels- no big deal. Day two we left at 7am and returned at 4pm and still no room service. I called the front desk and they said housekeeping would be up to bring us clean towels but they were too busy to clean the room?! What?! Do you have to pay extra for room servicing? Absolutely no care or concern from any of the staff.

The location was amazing. The hotel was on the beach, which was amazing. It was near the restaurants and pier also parking was right across the street

Is a nice place to stay, very clean y the people in the front desk are very kind,

− I like because It is right across from the beach. Is very clean. The beds are very comfortables. I also liked that the pool is right in front of the beach.

Would not recommend due to the poor room quality, lack of basic amenities and poor customer service.

The location was the only positive aspect of our stay. It was convenient and within walking distance of the beach. We also encountered two staff members who were helpful, and we appreciated their efforts despite the overall disappointing experience.

− Our stay was extremely disappointing due to the condition of the room and the lack of customer service. We were given a room with what could barely be described as a window. During our stay, housekeeping only cleaned the room twice despite our requests. We went four days without fresh towels or toilet paper, as staff told us the hotel had run out of both. We never received a proper duvet cover despite asking multiple times and were only given flat sheets. The room was in poor condition, the TV didn't work, the shower was broken, the furniture and fixtures were old and worn, the walls were paper-thin, and a loud noise from the air conditioning/ventilation kept waking us throughout the night. We reported all of these issues several times and were repeatedly told someone would look into them, but no one ever did. I finally asked to change rooms and even offered to pay for an upgrade. The evening receptionist asked me to return the next morning. Unfortunately, the receptionist on duty the following morning was dismissive and rude. She repeatedly told me there was nothing she could do because we had booked through Booking.com and refused to consider moving us unless a maintenance technician confirmed the issues couldn't be repaired. No technician ever came. We traveled to attend our friends' wedding, along with many other wedding guests who were also staying at the hotel. Several of them were equally dissatisfied with their stay. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

The location was great

− The price was so expensive for what you get. The breakfast buffet was lacking and the same thing everyday. The rooms were dirty and had bugs. Our one room had a bag of drugs left in a drawer from the previous guests. The front desk workers were rude amd unhelpful. We asked for towls and blankets that took hours to get there. I asked for more toilet paper they only gave us 2 rolls for a week for a big family and they responded with we don't have any and we had to take it off a cleaning cart as we walked by. One of the springs in the mattress was broken and sticking out and one of our party members sliced his leg on it.
