Aloha from all the Staff encountered!
10.0My stay at this property was in Mid June and I was there for 5 nights. I was just recommending this property to another colleague of mine and realized I should also post on Trip Advisor. Reflecting on this particular visit I recall the staff being very friendly and accommodating from the Front desk, Housekeeping staff, restaurant / food truck and especially the pool staff. One particular individual whom I was able to chat with and get some great island insight from was David Komine. David’s pride in making guest feel comfortable was very evident. He was also gracious with his time to visit with us and tell us some really cool facts about Hawaii and the culture of the islands that really draws so many people to visit. Both his surfing knowledge and some unique sailing adventures with the Hokulea were shared with us too, and much appreciated. Aloha and great service was experienced at this property by all the staff that we came across and we look forward to going back.
Disappointed. Hotel run down
2.0Good location
− Noisy. Echo of international markets music until 2am. Garbage truck 5am. Construction zone noise all daytime. Many things in the hotel were in repair without warning (reception desk moved to a tiny room, bar closed, escalators to level 2 broken and lifts took ages to get to second floor from ground, shower tap in room no pressure as bath tap wouldn’t fully switch from bath to shower, balcony in hotel room was in construction I had to request another room change). Wasn’t cleaned well, furniture had stains and there was dust all over the coffee machine/clock showing it had not been cleaned properly. I was also charged twice by booking.com and then the hotel, even as I tried to explain I prepaid my booking, a large sum for 7 days stay having to pay twice in peak season impacting my CC spend, and takes a week to be refunded for the double charge after it took me to request a follow-up and request to ask accounts as reception said I had it wrong, that I can only pay at the hotel (which was not the case).
AMAZING--WILL BE BACK THE END OF THE MONTH!!!
10.0The welcoming atmosphere from the moment you check in and through the stay, and once you stay there time after time everyone is like family.
− all was great!
Great location. Warm welcome in Waikiki
8.0My 2nd time at Princess Kaiulani and it did not disappoint. Great location, wonderful staff. This time I had a room with a city view instead of ocean view and it was louder on this side overlooking the International Market Place, bare this in mind when booking, but must be expected staying this central in Waikiki. I highly recommend Princess Kaiulani.
