Sheraton Grand Salzburg♡

We probably wouldn’t stay there again but would dine at the Grand Sheraton Salzburg.

Location was great and the staff at the breakfast and piano bar restaurant were probably the best thing about the hotel. Particularly at Piano bar, excellent service and dining experience.

− The receptionist staff was probably the worse we experienced. The female receptionist who greeted us on arrival told us we could book breakfast at reception anytime for a reduced fee of $30 euro and pay $37 if we don’t book. About 2 days into our stay we decided to request at reception (we spoke to a blonde female staff) to book us breakfast for the last 2 mornings. She said no problem and that she will book it for us. When we turned up at breakfast they said they had no booking. That night we enquired at the reception about the miscommunication with booking and the male staff was quite unhelpful and rude. He clarifies that we did not have a booking and cannot just book whenever we want making us feel like we did something wrong when it was all three staff at reception telling us different things. We found every request we made very slow and unclear. It was the worse reception experience we’ve ever had travelling and the rate we paid we expected basic standards to be met. The female staff were friendly at reception but their advice was unreliable! Another negative experience was the cleaning service of our two rooms. After 2 nights and we still had 4 nights remaining, we ran out of body wash in the shower and tissues in the bathroom, but they were not replenished. We had to make a request for them to be replenished. Floors always felt dirty, sometimes we get a bottle of water and most times we didn’t after the cleaners have been there. Again, the service was unreliable and inconsistent.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sheraton Grand Salzburg! From the moment we arrived, the staff was very welcoming, professional, and kind. The hotel is well maintained. Our room was spotless, spacious, and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was elegant yet relaxing. The location couldn't have been better. It's right next to the beautiful Mirabell Gardens and within easy walking distance of Salzburg's charming Old Town, the famous castle, Mozart house, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The hotel provided complimentary umbrellas when it rained, allowing us to continue sightseeing. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations and made this one of the highlights of our trip. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Sheraton Grand Salzburg to anyone visiting Salzburg!
