Stay away……
2.0I recently spent three nights at this hotel. While the hotel cannot control the surrounding nightlife or traffic, it absolutely can control its soundproofing. Having stayed at major downtown hotels in Tokyo, Shanghai, and San Francisco, I know that quality windows and blackout curtains can effectively block even severe city noise. Unfortunately, this hotel failed to provide that level of insulation. During my first two nights, the nightclub around the corner stayed busy late into the night. The noise became even worse when patrons left, with many drivers revving their engines excessively. I was awakened both nights and called the front desk, only to be told there was nothing they could do—even though they acknowledged that many guests had made the same complaint. The hotel then moved me to what was supposed to be a quieter room, but it was actually worse. It faced a much taller building across the street, creating an echo chamber that amplified the constant noise from cars and buses. Paying more than $300 per night only to be repeatedly awakened, lose sleep, and suffer headaches throughout my business trip is unacceptable. As Marriott Platinum Elite member, I contacted corporate during my stay and was told that, because this is a franchised property, the hotel had to resolve the issue on its own. Management initially offered complimentary breakfast and 1,000 points, which I declined because it did not reflect the severity of the problem. After another call to corporate, the hotel increased its goodwill offer to 7,500 points. Considering that a standard award night at this property costs around 30,000 points, the compensation was disappointing. This was, without question, the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. Management knows this is an ongoing issue because numerous guests have complained about it, yet no meaningful improvements have been made. If you're looking for a normal hotel stay and a good night's sleep, I recommend staying elsewhere.
We had a mostly positive experience. The room served it’s purpose and was in a great location.
7.0The room was nice and clean and the staff at the front desks were very friendly.
− The valet parking was a nightmare. We arrived and had to wait 20 minutes in the car before we were helped. Then, the valet almost backed into our car with the Jeep that he was moving that was parked in front of us. The other valet had to yell for him to stop and then help him safely get the car out of the line. After checking out and leaving, we stopped for gas where we noticed the back driver tire had been curbed. Luckily our rim was not scratched or I would be way more upset. Definitely not worth the $36 you charge! Also, the pillows in the room were tiny and very uncomfortable.
Stayed one night so no big deal but on the way back chose a hotel that offered free parking and free continental breakfa
6.0− No parking.Valet parking only and it’s expensive. Paid less in Chicago which is a way bigger city.
Avoid this place like the plague
2.0DO NOT STAY HERE EXPECTING MARRIOTT QUALITY. You wont get it I can overlook a lot with bad hotel stays. I travel for business. But this one cannot be overlooked. We checked in and got a room on the first floor. 119. The room i booked had a siting area up 2 stairs with a railing and 119 was definitely not that.Just walking in the room made us feel like we were in jail. The air conditioner had a remote that was velcroed to the wall. The vinyl window curtain had holes in it. Dingy musty gross room. The valet process is wierd. You have to install an app on your phone. We kept getting messages that our car was ready and we did not request it. The valet people were very pleasant and respectful. Went to the front desk to get another room and told the girl that we were moving our check out day to Thursday instead of Friday. Honestly did not want to spend any more time here than we had to. This place feels more like a super 8 than a marriott property. We did get a better room on the third floor but still not sure i got the room i booked. But even the third floor hallway was dark and dingy with wall paper peeling and bubbled out. If you have a hard time with stairs this is not the hotel to stay in. You have to walk up stairs to get to the elevator onthe first floor. I have a bad hip, knee and ankle and stairs are awful for me. I told the guy I had problems with stairs and I got a oh I'm sorry from him. Turns out the do have a lift for people in whell chairs but apparently they like watch someone struggle up the stairs. Checked out today and was told that we were checking out early. When I told her that we moved our checkout date to the 16th instead of the 17th I was told that if I made the reservation on marriott.com that it cannot be changed. Not a third party app, but Marriott.com. I did not have a prepaid reservation or anything like that. I am a loyal gold level marriott customer. I stay in a lot of marriott properties. I had wonderful experiences with the staff in the Bistro. They are fabulous and the best part of staying here. The elevator restaurant is within walking distance and the food is exceptional along with the atmosphere. Beautiful place. I would not stay here again for personal or business. Marriott corporate really needs to know about this place.

− Found out the body wash container was empty when I was in the middle of my shower. Then got out to dry my hair and the blow dryer did not work. When we checked in, found out the pool and hot tub were unavailable for four days. We asked for money off of our stay. They said they could not do that. Offered us free breakfast, but we had already paid for that in our room rate. Gave us Bonvoy points, which costs them nothing. Never made up our room, or brought clean towels. Maybe they don’t on a 2 day stay, but if that’s the case, it was never told to us on check-in. Checked out today and found out instead of them giving me a credit of $100, which they charge you on check-in for incidentals, they CHARGED me ANOTHER $100. Will need to address that with the hotel-they now owe me $200.
Not worth the price.
4.0Location was good and was within walking distance to everything we needed downtown.
− Our room was smelly, air conditioning did not work properly, valet parking was unavailable, and breakfast was not included as advertised.
