It was lovely as soon as you walked in the door. Check in staff we exceptional, the room was ready early, it was clean, smelt lovely, bed and pillows were soooo comfortable, temperature of the room was spot on and the one of the best things is the water pressure and temperature in the shower was excellent! Sounds silly but such a huge thing in an NYC hotel! It was quiet and housekeeping were excellent as well. Will definitely be back to the exact hotel and will request my room!

− The coffee shop items weren’t great and I feel badly as the gentleman running it must obviously not be a very happy person. The roof top restaurant has a big breakfast buffet( I think it was $45) but not a menu breakfast so can’t get get a smaller breakfast. BUT… you’re in NYC with a diner at every corner so really doesn’t make a difference. This is being picky because there isn’t really anything not to like about this place. It’s awesome.

− Te hacen pagar un depósito de 100$ por noche, estuve tres noches, por lo que tuve que desembolsar 300$ en total. Cuando dejas el alojamiento, no te devuelven ese importe al momento, al ser de fuera de EEUU, te lo devuelven 30 días más tarde. El desayuno es bueno y completo, pero el café, capuccino, etc, se paga aparte; esto no nos lo explicaron al inicio. Por dos capuccinos y un café con leche, pagamos 25$. Para las características y precio del hotel, el personal no fue amable y atento; a excepción del personal de desayuno.

The front desk staff were great! I had a serious problem with the temperature in my room and the gentleman at the front desk was great: he was understanding and immediately sent up an engineer to try to solve the problem. The engineer was also really great. He solved the problem as best as possible given the equipment and was very nice.

− My room was very cold and the fan for the heating and cooling so loud that even after the engineer got the heat to come on, the fan was so loud that I had to get the room warm and then turn the system off. In the middle of the night, I woke up due to the cold and had to again, turn on the loud fan to warm up the room. Another guest who was placed on the fifth floor (same floor I was on) was complaining about the same problem in his room: fan unbearable loud and inability to control the temperature. That guest was moved to a premium room. The breakfast buffet food was cold and the service in the restaurant was non-existent. The restaurant was a disappointment. the access to the restaurant very unappealing. I was not expecting that I'd have to go up a very unattractive and rather steep flight of stairs and navigate around a pile of cardboard boxes to get to the restaurant. Maybe there was a different entrance, but if so it was not well-marked.

Disappointing stay, poor hospitality, and definitely not what we expected from a Kimpton hotel.

− The cleanliness was below expectations. The hotel also lacked basic hospitality amenities, such as a kettle and tea in the room. What disappointed us the most was the receptionist’s attitude during check-in. She was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming.
