4.0Disappointing stay. The hotel is generally considered a 4* and the grounds are beautiful however but the overall experience fell short - while clean, the room was very tired and in definitely need of a refresh. Breakfast wasn’t great either - the bacon was very dried up, scrambled eggs were wet and sloppy and overall, the food was sub-standard and not worth paying for. While in the dining area, I overheard another guest complaining about the quality of food. For such a beautiful building and backdrop, the stay wasn’t worth the money and was overall disappointing.

6.0The room was not cleaned properly - red dust ! on the side table - moths in the towel in the bathroom. Food very poor in the restaurant. It’s a shame as the main building is a thing of beauty but the lodges and the food I ordered on the night are very poor. Almost £7.00 for a beer is a little too heavy also.

4.0Room seemed shabby, and in need of a make over, floor and counter top in bathroom was dirty and stained and the bin had not been emptied from previous occupants
