Gem of a hotel, perfect location

This was a gem of a hotel, quirky, perfect location, character room with everything you could need; staff were lovely & helpful, just be mindful that hotel reception closes at 9pm. Check in was done online, a bit harder than it should have been but worth it in the end! As others have said the loo & shower are not too private however I would say that if you are sharing a bed then it shouldn't be a problem! We could hear the upstairs room flushing the toilet BUT this is a very old property and it wasn't a problem for us. (room 17) I didn't find the bed too comfortable although my husband did so its all down to personal taste. Coffee & cake in the room and more available if required, secure luggage room which we used on arrival & departure. Absolute astounding value for money for a major city, would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Nicely setup, very well situated.

− Room was small and there was not enough separation, between bathroom and bedroom, just a glass door. Open shower made the bathroom very wet after a shower.
