"Flawless hardware and classic luxury, but lacking soul and modern awareness"
9.0The hotel facilities, cleanliness, and overall operational standards are undoubtedly top-tier. However, the atmosphere lacked warmth and a true 'wow' factor, feeling somewhat predictable throughout.
− Our check-in experience as a same-sex married couple was deeply disappointing. Booking a single room with a king bed was clearly treated as an error by the staff; we were offered an alternative twice—either twin beds or a second room—which we naturally declined. Across our entire trip through Japan, staying at ten different properties ranging from mid-scale to high-end luxury, we never encountered such hesitation or unsolicited intervention anywhere else. For an international brand of Westin’s caliber, we expected unconditional professionalism, discretion, and respect.
We would highly recommend Westin Tokyo to anyone looking for an excellent place to stay.
