Lovely Hotel - will stay again
6.0The location is good, and the staff are lovely and attentive. When I raised my concerns about the standard of the room, the person on reception was very gracious and accepted my feedback, which is all that I was asking for.
− THe rooms are a little tired and need of make over, whilst it was "clean" it needed attention. there were permanent stains on the bathroom floor, the one small window in the room was dirty on the outside. The hinges on cabinet doors needed attention and some doors didn't close. When I tried to use the ironing board it collapsed, and the iron did not heat up. The room needs to be painted. When I fed back my impression of the room, they did offer to change the room which was nice, but not necessary, I was only providing feedback as I expected a higher standard from a Renaissance Hotel. They informed me that the rooms are being upgraded over the winter so when I come back again they should be a true reflection of the Renaissance brand. I do believe that we just booked a room a the end of it's cycle before maintenance.

Premium prices, for substandard accommodations
4.0As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member who travels extensively for business, I rarely leave negative reviews. Unfortunately, this stay was one of the most disappointing Marriott experiences I've had. Our room's air conditioning failed on the first night of our stay. I reported it immediately through the Marriott app, and the hotel acknowledged the problem and advised that engineering would address it. Over the next 24 hours, multiple attempts were made, but our room remained above 80°F, making it extremely uncomfortable. It was nicer outside during the heat wave. After no resolution, I asked to be moved to another room. I was told the hotel had no rooms available. At that point, I contacted Marriott Bonvoy Elite Support. The representative began helping me relocate to another Marriott property in Paris that had a comparable room available. However, before I could transfer, the representative contacted this hotel. I was then told I could not simply check out and move to another property. Instead, I had to return to the hotel, speak with a manager, and there was even discussion about the possibility of an early departure fee. By the time I returned to the hotel to meet with management, the room at the other Marriott property was no longer available. Then, after I arrived back at the hotel, I was suddenly informed that they had found another room for me here. That sequence of events was incredibly frustrating. I had spent the whole time being told there were no available rooms, only to have one appear after Marriott corporate became involved. Whether that room had genuinely just become available or not, the experience left me feeling like I had to escalate the situation before anyone was willing to find a solution. The replacement room is cooler than the original, which only reinforces my frustration that this couldn't have been resolved much earlier. This is not an inexpensive hotel. Guests choose the Renaissance brand expecting a premium experience. Instead, I spent a significant portion of my Paris vacation dealing with a basic room issue that should have been resolved on the first day. Rather than feeling like the hotel wanted to make things right, I felt like I had to fight for every step of the process. I've honestly had better stays at Courtyard by Marriott properties. Paris has been incredible. Unfortunately, this hotel has been the one part of the trip that failed to meet expectations. Marriot would be well suited to send some corporate management here and do a deep dive on this property.. it is pretty run down to carry a flagship brand name.
Disappointed, especially with the breakfast and my Titanium upgrade
6.0This property is older and requires significant upgrades. In my room, the bathroom sink and bathtub do not hold water for long because the plugs do not form a proper seal, which makes in-room laundry inconvenient. However, the hotel is in a great area, within walking distance of many major attractions, as well as nearby restaurants and cafes. My greatest disappointment was with the breakfasts.
Loved this hotel! Excellent service!
10.0I loved staying at this hotel. The breakfast was amazing!! The room was clean, balcony beautiful, bed comfortable, and the extra details were appreciated. Loved the service and the garden was a great touch to the ambiance. The location is close to the Eiffel Tower and trains are within walking distance. Thanks for the great stay!
