Good hotel in attractive grounds

8.0

We stayed here a week, nice clean room, quiet at night & good for sleeping. A good breakfast was included. The building is in a garden setting which was occasionally nice to sit in and watch the birds. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk (or short taxi ride) to the central square and very close to shopping and a mall with a supermarket. The only downside is there was no heating and it gets cold in Cajamarca at night.

Conveniently situated in a quiet corner of the town

6.0

Quaint colonial style buildings characterise this hotel. Rooms are large with huge beds, which are not overly comfortable, and well equipped bathrooms. The hotel is quiet even though it is in the centre of town as it is located behind a high wall which excludes most noise. Staff are helpful and friendly, but service is average. The bar is seldom attended and range of drinks is limited. The restaurant is a bare bones room. The menu is quite extensive but the quality of the food is average. There is no heat in the rooms and this combined with the high altitude and rainfall makes everything in the room feel rather damp and cold. WiFi works throughout the hotel but is slow. Same day laundry service is offered but quality is average. Overall a comfortable quiet place to stay if expectations are lowered

Very nice hotel to stay in family

8.0

I stayed 5 days in this hotel with my family and it was a very nice experience. This hotel was made in a old farm house. it is located at only 6 blocks away the central square of Cajamarca. If you are thinking to visit many places during day and return hotel at nights, it is your hotel. it is also two blocks from a mall. The rooms are very clean and confortable and you can enjoy a local breakfast included in the room price.

Enjoyed my stay

10.0

My husband recently stayed 5 nights at this hotel. The room was very spacious and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included breads, cheeses, yogurt, eggs, bacon and fresh fruit. He ate at the restaurant several times for dinner, and it was very good. He would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cajamarca.

Very nice hotel!

10.0

We stayed at this hotel in January 2011 and would recommend it to everyone! Very nice, colonial hotel, with nice rooms and a good and cheap restaurant. The staff was extremely helpful, even changed our rooms to be closer to the wifi upon our request. The breakfast was nice. The only downside is the location- the neighborhood is not the best out there, but it is still acceptable. About 10min walking from the city center. Good value for you money!
