7.0Convenience to the national park and historic district
− The door didn’t close good at all. If it had weather stripping we wouldn’t have had a bunch of flys coming in.
A great deal given the very low price.
9.0The building is old and rather dated. But, it was clean and the room had a large refrigerator and a microwave. Perfect for our ten day stay. It was the second cheapest motel in front royal. So, any minor issues were worth the low price. Breakfast was included and better than we expected. Eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, cereal, pastries, and juice.
− The room obviously hadn't been occupied for a while, it smelled musty. But, after the first day running the A/C it was fine.
2nd time there and will be my last.
1.0Close to skyline drive
− The big dirty grotty yellow bar hanging from the low ceiling at the drive in reception. It read 8 feet but was more like 7 so it crashed my bike off my car. I wrote for help to the hotel got one reply asking my trouble and then nothing but silence. I wrote again and again and nothing back.

3.0Staff service, on the other hand, was very warm and courteous — they went out of their way to help with everything within their reach.
− Terrible experience overall. Breakfast had no real options and was poorly presented. The rooms were not properly cleaned, and the common areas were neglected, dirty, and outdated. There was a persistent bad odor in the room despite being in the non-smoking section, and I had to change rooms because the shower was broken. Score: 2/10.
I would never stay here again.
1.0− The room was moldy, towels were dirty, the whole room smelled like cigarette smoke. Filthy and the worst room I have ever stayed in. The sheets had yellow ring on them. Soiled
