The renovation really spoiled our stay with all the noise, debris and dust

Location

− Renovations were taking place right outside our room. The noise, dirt, paint, sanding were horrendous! I can’t believe the hotel put us in the middle of the renovation when other rooms were available.

Updated rooms, very clean, comfortable beds, food on site, entertainment for the kids, proximity to Legoland

− At check-in, our second room was not ready, so our entire group had to wait together in one room for approximately three hours. During that time, I went to the front desk several times to request an update and ask why there was a delay. Each time, I was told to wait “another 15 minutes,” but no explanation was provided. After waiting for three hours, I returned to the front desk and stood in line to speak with the staff member again. Although she saw me waiting, she did not acknowledge me until it was my turn. Once I approached the desk, she acted as though she did not recognize me from my previous visits regarding the same issue. I explained that we had just driven six hours to arrive at the hotel and were exhausted, only to be repeatedly told to wait another 15 minutes without any explanation. When the additional 15 minutes turned into three hours, I requested that she locate another available room so we could rest. At that point, she stated, “Oh, your room is ready. I just forgot to tell you.” She provided the room key but still did not provide any reason for the significant delay or lack of communication. The following day, we reported that the television in the second room was not working properly and had no available channels. We were informed that someone from maintenance would come to fix it. Unfortunately, our stay was for four nights, and no one ever came to address the issue. At checkout, I returned the room keys and informed the front desk representative of the issues we experienced throughout our stay. She apologized and offered a small refund, which I appreciated. However, the poor communication and lack of customer service at the beginning of our stay created unnecessary stress and frustration during our trip. Overall, the rooms themselves were comfortable and in good condition, aside from the unresolved television issue. My main concern is the lack of professionalism, communication, and follow-through from the staff.

The room seemed freshly renovated. Beds were comfortable. Pool area was very nice. Location close to restaurants and outlets.

− The location is surrounded by busy streets and fwy. Very noisy in room. Door was not sealed properly. Air conditioner very noisy. No luggage racks or coffee maker in room. Gym was closed due to construction. Only stairs to 2nd floor. Called for conditioner missing in shower and never received 5 hours later had to call again.

It’s pet friendly lodging, though there is no designated dog area. This leaves you walking around on small grassy areas along the busy road.

− Upon arrival there were major renovations going on, in a large part of the motel complex. The lobby was closed so they were operating out of a poorly marked motel room. The parking lot spaces were taken up by the construction workers vehicle so unloading my stuff and pet’s stuff was complicated by having to squeeze between there vehicles to get to the front door of my room. Then later that afternoon we were notified that we would have to move our vehicles completely out of the parking lot so that resurfacing of the asphalt could be done. To begin with, not once did management notify me that any of this was going on and I had booked a month in advance. I received other useless emails regarding “things to do” but not a word about the construction activity. I complained to the onsite manager and was offered a 50% refund on my stay, however since booking and paying through a third party site the offer was irrelevant. It basically was a way to appease. It didn’t work.
