Once the hotel is renovated I think it will be a great improvement.
7.0The location is elite in terms of the beach and shopping
− The street noise is loud. It wasn’t ideal with a young family. Also renovating currently which I wasn’t aware of and is going to be until at least March. Current rooms very outdated and musty.
Convenient & Comfortable
10.0The Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort is conveniently located on a bustling section of Kalakaua Boulevard across from the International Market Place, and near many restaurants and designer stores. Think a miniature version of the Las Vegas Strip (with better weather). Despite being on such a busy and noisy street, our room was quiet. It was also comfortable and clean. We stayed in one of the older rooms that had not yet been renovated. In fact, the entire hotel is undergoing a massive renovation. What sets this hotel apart is its wonderful employees. The housekeeping staff did a great job and the front desk clerks and the concierge were all friendly and helpful. Well, nobody is perfect. The pool looked a little small for a hotel of this size. But what the heck, it is on Waikiki Beach anyway. We would definitely return to the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort if we are back in Honolulu.

− Construction. We were not aware the hotel was under construction until it was too late to cancel The construction noise during the day was loud. They started construction and noise around 5:30 am. Way to early for vacationers

− We stayed in the middle of a major renovation so a lot of the hotel looked like a building site. But the hotel is VERY dated so the renovation is needed. Not very soundproof - street noise of partying and music late into the night, had to crank up air con for the fan noise to drown it out. Pool is tiny. Limited dining options in the hotel (both menus similar)
