It was close to the promenade and restaurants

− Karaoke until late at night gone 12 which I was informed about after we paid and also the shelf in room 5 by the side of the bed I scrapped my hip down the side of it

The view from out balcony was amazing, the value was great and the owner Keith was wonderful.

− Maybe a break fast available or iron hairdryer in room the decor is dated but it’s an old building. It was no bother to us.

Disappointing hotel, very neglected.

Great location. Nice bathroom. About all we can say of this place.

− What a tip. Very neglected! On pulling up the hotel signage was falling down, the wooden furniture outside needed a coat of paint, weeds and black slip proof matting torn apart. The glass to hotel was dirty, signs on door to check in via the hotel next door. The manager here was very pleasant, he said he managed both. He showed us into the Monaco which looked like it was in a time warp. The entrance was very shabby, old, on the counter where reception used to be was a vase of white plastic flowers, they were covered in dust. The whole place needs decorating and refurbishing. Next to the hall way was a locked closed bar, it was very eery. Our room was a mish mash of furniture, smelt horrid. Plus side the bathroom looked fairly up to date. I checked bed it was clean. So with a good bathroom and clean bed we stayed. The balcony was very neglected. Pot plants full of weeds, bits of wood left over from odd jobs I assumed, scruffy furniture, birds mess, false grass laid but not flat, cover in birds mess, but a lovely view. We were told we could use the bar next door, we popped in one night, OK for a quiet drink, entertainment was a singer, not good, the audience was a group of elderly people. On Leaving we couldn't find anyone to talk to. No one came to the door when we rang it several times, key pushed through the hotel next doors letter box, the left, we won't go back!
