It was the perfect place for my family size and great location for our kings island trip! Not impressive for my sanity a
6.0It was in a convenient location for kings island and food!
− Thanks to horrible 3rd party communication on BOOKING.COM’s part….When we first checked in, the front desk person said they had our reservation, and that it shows it was paid at booking the reservation , but they didn’t receive the payment from booking.com and it was declining the charge at the moment, so they were stalling with checking me in. I told them how them not getting the payment has nothing to do with me because I paid a month ago and I expect to have my room key regardless of what flook reason they can’t figure out payment because it is not my fault or concern. The manager on duty was still telling me about whatever back end issue they were having, which still isn’t my concern, nor did I care. Finally, the manager gave using room without physically “checking us in”, as she should have. Then the next day while I’m getting breakfast and had my children upstairs, the maintenance man came busting in the room asking my children why they were there!!! I was LIVID!!!!!!! As I went down to the front desk to voice my frustration and ongoing concern, they proceed to tell me how the room showed vacant and us not being there! Of course I’m still PISSED and no manager was onsite! They proceeded to tell me that they couldn’t do anything until the manager came in, and I told them we are still there for another day and we better not have another issue. I called customer service to let them know the issue and a new reservation was made. Of course after getting back from kings island with my family that night, our room key doesn’t work. We had to have the front desk attendant interrupt her current customer to make us a new key so we could get in our room and go to bed!!!! As far as comfort the double queen room had one small window and a huge open space full of dead light, which I hated! The bathroom lighting was also horrible! The floor plan of the room I was in was horrible taking in natural light for it to be facing the east! Horrible designing!

10.0Clean rooms and great communication at front desk.
Great Location and Spacious Rooms Near Kings Island
8.0Our room was huge, comfortable, and included a nicely equipped kitchenette. While we only used the refrigerator, it was great having the option of a full kitchenette during our three-night stay. The bathroom was very clean, and the staff were friendly throughout our visit. We had a small hiccup during check-in when extending our stay. It was technically our mistake, but after our second request/suggestion, the staff was able to resolve everything, and it ultimately worked out well. The location is excellent—less than a mile from the entrance to Kings Island—which made getting to and from the park very convenient. The hotel also has a large, welcoming lobby with plenty of seating, making it a great place for larger groups to gather. There was a baseball team staying at the hotel during our visit, and the hallways were fairly noisy for a while, but things quieted down once everyone settled into their rooms. Considering the location and amenities, I felt the hotel offered good value for the price. The two downsides were the bed, which wasn't very comfortable, and the breakfast experience on our second morning. The breakfast was delicious the first day, but on the second morning, unsupervised children contaminated the buffet by using the spoon rest to scoop the eggs and leaving it in the serving tray. That was enough to make us uncomfortable, so we chose to eat breakfast elsewhere for the rest of our stay. Overall, despite a couple of issues, we enjoyed our stay. The spacious room, convenient location, friendly staff, and good value outweighed the negatives, and I would consider staying here again.
