2.0Booked to stay Saturday night and also booked a local restaurant for our wedding anniversary. Arrived at the Orange Tree mid afternoon and with absolutely nowhere near to park left my wife in the car whilst I checked in. I walked into the bar area which was full of the locals watching the rugby match. There was only one young chap serving behind the bar and eventually a young lady turned up and I informed her that we had a room booked. I was given a room key no.5 and wasn't shown to the room or anything. So I fought through the rugby fans to get out the door to bring our bags. On the way back through the fans one local bloke decided to try and intimidate me by making a comment which I ignored. On reaching the room the room was very basic. The wardrobe shelf was broken in two pieces. The toilet cistern lid did not fit and was a different shape to the tank and the water could be seen through the top. In the shower on the mixer valves was a half used bar of green soap! I spoke with the young lady that checked me in and she said that she would get the cleaners back and as for the toilet, there usually is a note on it. Why not just get it fixed!! She agreed to cancel the room as their fee had not been taken from Expedia at that time. Over two weeks later I am still trying to get a refund from Expedia. We had to cancel our restaurant reservation and when we told them why they were not surprised. I do not like to leave negative comments but this competely ruined what

10.0Very friendly staff, lovely spacious bathroom, massive breakfast and very tasty. Easy parking just along the road outside. lovely crisp whote bed linen, everywhere very clean.
