Great location!

− We left the west coast at 2.20 am and didn’t check into the hotel until 11:00…so we were exhausted. We checked in late and it was one issue after another. 1. Checked in, got to our room and the door was propped open. Dry weird! 2. We went in and the toilet was plugged and almost overflowing. 3. Notified the front desk and we were handed a plunger. Plunged the toilet and we finally unplugged it. 4. While plunging my husband leaned against the wall and his shirt was covered in drywall dust. 5. Room did not have garbage can. My husband took a shower and water flooded the bathroom because of an issue with the shower door. We had to use all our towels to wipe up the water. 6. No shower shelf or place to put shampoo and body wash. They had to be stored in the bottom of the shower. 7. Wall thermostat was missing so had to control air from the a/c unit. 8. Light above the TV wouldn’t go out so at 12:20 the front desk person came down and informed us that there was no way to shut it off…the switch was eliminated in the “remodel”. They finally came down and threw a blanket up over the light so we could get some sleep. 9. I tried to find a phone to call the front office, but there was not a phone in the room to call for help, so I had to look it up on our booking information. 10. Carpet was very stained and so was the bathroom linoleum. We are not typically picky but when there are numerous issues it reflects a major problem. Over the years we have come to expect a certain level of cleanliness and pride in the Holiday Inn Express facilities and that was not found here at this location. We talked with the manager the next day and he provided us with another room, but there were issue with this room as well. Hanging rack for clothing had been removed so we had to take all of our hang up clothes and put them back in the suitcases. The bathroom door was a slider and it would not close. It was stuck open and would not budge.

It was ok, didn’t meet the expectations for the price point.

The bathroom was clean. Breakfast was satisfactory.

− The room, elevators, and common areas didn’t smell fresh, there were several stains in the hallway. The reception desk staff had the personality of a toll booth clerk.

− Ice machines were broke,orange juice was horrible pancake ma hine broken breakfast food was cold
