Disappointing customer service ahead of a milestone birthday
2.0booked a twin room five weeks in advance to take my 92-year-old mother back to this hotel as a birthday surprise. Because I am her carer, sharing a room with separate beds is a strict necessity. Despite booking through the parent company and contacting the hotel directly to confirm, I was told two beds could only be "subject to availability" on arrival. Expecting an elderly guest to turn up and hope for the best is unacceptable customer service. It is a shame to leave a one-star review before even staying at what looks like a beautiful property, but their unhelpful approach to customer service completely ruined our special trip. My mother will now not be returning.

Functions hotel - not recommended for tourists
4.0The staff were mostly friendly and helpful although there was rarely any interaction from the door greeter. The pool was great although surprisingly few umbrellas (just 11 umbrellas for 58 loungers).
− I just could not get to grips with the meal availability. Ridiculously high prices for breakfast/evening buffet, 1* Michelin restaurant with expensive tasting menu, pool cafe with limited options and rooftop unavailable other than to higher priced rooms until the evening and then no food! The hotel is in a bit of a wilderness with no real shops or cafes around. This is a functions style hotel, and I suspect they were served well, but just not ideal for tourists, in my opinion.

− Pour éviter les bruits stridents des chaises et bancs sur le carrelage, mettre des tampons en dessous serait un plus pour la quiétude, c'est efficace, peu cher, et invisible.

− Je ne suis pas satisfait à cause des mauvais odeurs insupportable sortants du douche le soir.
