10.0Alida and her husband welcomed us on first arrival and continued to make us welcome throughout our stay. There was a useful welcome pack and everything was as advertised. The shady verandah was wonderful complete with copious birds including cape sugarbirds and sunbirds visiting the feeders. The home made melk tart was delicious and very welcome. A lovely stay we highly recommend.
Personal touches....
8.0Alida the owner is such a warm, welcoming and lovely person. From the welcome door sign upon our arrival and the little gifts which we found...they are all such a personal touch and appreciated. We found the accommodation itself to be large & spacious & felt very homely. Load shedding is a BIG problem in SA but thankfully we were not affected too much by it for our short stay, plus there is a portable gas ring to boil a kettle for that all important cup of tea! There are also a couple of emergency lights.... It is located in a residential area, that is nice and quiet...and within a fairly reasonable distance to walk to a couple of nearby bars and restaurants & we felt it was in a safe area to do so.
