Clean and Comfy but don't check in at night

− The night shift front desk girl was very confused . We booked 2 queen rooms and when we got up there one room was a single bed and a couch. We went down to tell her and she didn't even recognize us even though we just checked in. She gave us the correct room but charged us for both. My son talked to the manager in the morning and got the charges taken care of.

10.0The staff were excellent! We were checked in by front desk attendant Crystal who made us immediately feel at home, explained how to get to our room, recommended a local restaurant and explained the guidelines when staying with pets. The breakfast (which was included) was perfect and Sherry the breakfast attendant greeted us each morning, kept the place spotless and fully stocked. The second morning Halley was the front desk manager and she was also extremely friendly with information about our drive to Effingham. The stay at Holiday Inn Express Cloverdale was absolutely GREAT, we highly recommend it.
− The outdoor space for morning breakfast had only one table, but it’s not enough of a deal breaker.

10.0When my husband's work meeting ran long..Hailey was able to give us the latest checkout possible. Which was 2pm, just an hour before check in time! She even offered to help me with our luggage. Very understanding and kind staff at this location. 100/10

9.0Entrance very nice and clean. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator in room. Good tv channel selection.
− Pillows were a little flat, coffee maker needed to be on middle shelf. Access to Newsmax was not available.
