10.0The location was amazing - close to the M50 for ease of access to the North and South Wales. It was close to Gloucester and Cheltenham. The food was lovely and there was a large beer garden. Atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.
− It does need a little TLC in the rooms and bathrooms - one cold tap doesn’t work and the showers are outdated - but it was very clean and the bed was comfy.

− Wasn’t the cleanest and the tv remote didn’t work. Having said that the lady running the pub did all she could to get it working which eventually she did but it meant having two remotes 🤣

− The only thing I can suggest is maybe a fan in the room for those super hot days. But to be honest, it had been an absolute scorcher of a weekend 😁
Great stay at the Rose and Crown
8.0The staff at the rose and crown were brilliant and nothing was too much for them, the room was clean and tidy, with fresh towels on the bed, The bed was comfortable and clean. We stopped on the hottest weekend of the year and the staff handled it well be giving us a fan when we asked them, it provided some comfort and relief. There are two shared bathrooms to use, they were clean and tidy but a little dated but serve their purpose well. Breakfast is delicious and definitely worth the extra cost it is plentiful, freshly cooked and the staff spoke so passionately about the local produce they us.
