Location, nice room confuguration.

− High humidity in room (but during a heat wave). Food prices in Hudson (all restaurants) are extremely high. The town itself is very picturesque and is readily reached by public transport (train, alwo weekday commuter buses from Albany).

Loved the location, the cleanliness, and the historical vibe of this boutique hotel. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was newly renovated, and the coffee station and snacks were great. Definitely would stay again.

− The street parking was a bit quirky due to nighttime street cleaning, but not a big hassle.

4 stars but zero service? Disappointing

The room is pretty, we'll decorated, and the location is great, right around the corner from Warren Street for all the shops and restaurants.

− First of all, this isn't a inn. There is no innkeeper, no staff on site at all. I'm not sure how Booking determines the category of each property, but this is an unmanned house, where you get a code, help yourself, and if there's a problem there's a phone number to call. No elevator and we had heavy suitcases, so up a lot of stairs we went, we would have expected the option of getting some help from a 4 star property. I would never expect this place to have 4 stars. Crazy. Let's start with the bathroom: it's not a room, so you have to feel pretty comfortable using the toilet in front of your travel companion. There's a folding screen that you can place strategically to avoid direct vision to the toilet, but sound, smells, etc, are really quite present throughout the room. Next, the room was directly under the sloped roof of the house making about 35% of the room in accessibile. Looks pretty, but we bumped our heads many many times. The window blinds are mostly symbolic, not actually keeping out any light, so expect to wake up pretty early. The air conditioner is at the end of the room near the toilet, so in order to keep the beb area cool, you have to freeze on the toilet. Finally, the so called "shared kitchen" is barely a kitchette. You can't really cook there, and even if you could, there's no table to eat at, unless we simply didn't find it because there WA no one there to show us around, but it looked like the whole house had been turned into rooms, with the exception of this kitchette squeezed into the back door hallway. All in all, a real disappointment considering the 4 star experience we were expecting.

Schneller Check-In, unkomplizert. Schöne, saubere Zimmer. Bequemes Bett und Snacks zum mitnehmen in der Küche unten.

Es war sehr sauber und die Lage ist ziemlich zentral in einer ruhigen Gegend. Das Zimmer im Dachgeschoss ist sehr geräumig, dafür keine wirkliche Aussicht und das WC befindet sich im selben Raum. Die gemeinsame Küche ist ziemlich cool mit Gratis-Kaffee (leider hat sie jedoch nicht funktioniert) und ein paar Snacks.

− Sehr ringhörig! Man hört die anderen Gäste ziemlich gut und kann sie beinahe verstehen. Mit Koffern ist es sehr eng um ins Dachgeschoss zum Zimmer zu gelangen. Ausserdem fanden wir die Matratzen sind ziemlich unbequem. Für den Preis leider nicht befriedigend.
