Not worth the money

7.0

It's in a good location, the room is tiny but nice. The view from the room is nice.

Accessing the amenities isn't convenient. There's no clear information given to us at check in, there are no signs explaining anything. We wanted to play shuffle board and we had to ask around many people to find the pucks. The pool person who is in charge was missing and there's only one person to manage everything..it was a waste of the resort fee that we paid. The restaurant service is sooooooooo slow. The food so.mediocre. I don't think it was worth the price at all.

Aggressive & Disrespectful Employees

2.0

We stayed at the hotel on the 25th. It was very crowded, but we tried to make the most of our stay and the spas since we were checking out the next day. On our last day, I got a coffee from the second-floor coffee shop, but they gave me very hot coffee without a lid, so I had to ask for one. As I walked toward the exit, I saw the bar where I had had a drink the night before and realized I had forgotten to grab a coffee stirrer. I saw a couple of employees clearing glasses and cups, noticed a cup full of drink stirrers, and took one. One of the staff members, whose name I think was Escobando (white guy in his 20s with a mustache), told me, "Next time, ask before you take something." At first, I thought he was joking, but he seemed to get more upset. I told him to chill, it's just a coffee stirrer, and explained that I bought the coffee and was a guest at the hotel. That did not help. He became rude and started name-calling. To avoid making things worse, I asked for a manager, but instead of calling for his manager, he kept getting aggressive with me. I was very upset at this point, but I managed to control myself since the last thing I wanted was to get into a fist fight with my family near me. I went to the lobby to explain the situation to another manager. I spoke to a lady named Stephanie (the bar manager), and she referred me to the food and beverage manager, Sonya. I spoke to Sonya, and I am waiting to see what the hotel has done with this individual. And will follow up until this guy is fired. My wife also had a negative experience with another rude staff member. For the price we paid at this expensive 3-star hotel, I did not expect this kind of treatment from the staff. On a positive note, we met some Asian staff with J1A visas at Seven Glacier Resort who were extremely attentive and professional. I do not understand how a hotel hires people who act this way and make guests feel unwelcome. I suggest that every guest who experiences any type of discrimination voice their frustration so that the hotel management will implement new guidelines on who they hire as staff. I will update this review once I hear back from the management team about what steps they have taken with this employee.

The Nordic spa was amazing. The resort staff were very welcoming and pleasant.

My bed had a bit of a dip. Nordic spa requires a swim suit, which is fine, but the largest swim suit sold there is XL. I needed a 3XL. :)
