Amazing Property. Amazing Staff!
10.0This was probably my 12th (ish) stay and none have been better than any other because all have been absolutely perfect. The property is tranquil, amenities/room spacious and comforting and staff beyond helpful. Josh in the main pool is a true stand out and an employee who works so hard, is engaging, friendly and was the one thing that I will walk away with in this latest perfect stay that I will remember. Please please please. Tell him thanks for all of us. The resort itself (if not familiar with Tucson) is a 20 minute drive to the heart of the action, but with a car (highly suggested as there is so much beauty to see), everything is within reach. And if you are a nature lover, there is a moderate to difficult 5 mile hike within walking distance of the property (Ventana Trail). Thank you Loews for keeping class and service in this ever so quickly changing industry. See you again soon
Expensive, maybe worth it?
7.0Beautiful views
− Onsite restaurant very pricey with average food
Upscale Resort
8.0My sister stayed with me in a room while we were in Tucson visiting family. We chose this resort because it was very close to the airbnb my brother was renting for the winter. I was glad we chose this resort. The room and balcony were very nice. However, the restaurant food could have been better. The pool and other areas were great. I'm glad we stayed here and might stay again next year.
An all time High (at Loews)!
10.0Loews Ventana, what a great place to be! Booked thru the FHR Amex program and I am pretty confident I would still be just as happy going thru Loews direct. The location is a great place to start. Tucson is a bit of a quirky place but the closer you get to the mountains the nicer things are and the Ventana is literally the foot of the mountain so you won't do much better. The building itself has a very distinct architecture look that I am 100% in favor of. I get Frank Lloyd Wright Arizona Biltmore vibes but it is unique enough that I know it's the heavy use of concrete block that is making me come away with that thought. Either way, the interior is a very cool retro...but not dated look. Pool is a good size, not huge...but certainly better than average as far as cleanliness and wayyyyy above average for food/drink service via Bill's Grill. Constant pass throughs of all types of birds too so that's a neat little bonus. Rooms: Very comfortable beds, extremely comfortable linens. Warm but not suffocating especially when you consider that Tucson in the summer is quite toasty. Shower, huge....water pressure, just right. TV, just right and probably the only user friendly setup I've had in a decade. Flying V was very good and probably worth going to even if you are not staying on property...but luckily I was so even more enjoyable to just walk over. A far better than average hotel....only downside is that you'll want a Loews property everywhere you go. Maybe it's good that they're not reaching too far and spreading themselves too thin but Loews would fit very nicely inside the Hyatt portfolio. Oh......one last thing. Free parking? Yes! In this year of our Lord 2026...they still have complimentary parking. Loews is taking a big departure from everywhere else in these United States and not looked to tack an extra $27 on to every night's stay. Heck...I'd come back just for the parking.
