Don't stay there if you're going to go for an event that's happening in town

I called the week before to confirm we had late check in approved and that there would be no charge was told that is correct when we got to the facility and I tried to confirm it I was told I'd be charged an extra $100 to be able to have the late check out. Breakfast was done by 10:00 a.m. which is way early usually it ends at noon or at least until 11:00 that was not the case. The front desk staff was not helpful at all when we had questions and they locked the door the front door when I don't know cuz we came back after the event which was the Greeley stampede and couldn't get in had to call on a phone to wait for someone to come and unlock the front doors. I get that for security reasons but you should have our room cards set up so we can scan a pad to be able to come in if the doors are going to be locked at a certain time which was never explained or told To Us by the staff when I checked in

− Their breakfast was really low just an hour after it opened so we didn't get anything and it didn't seem More was going to be coming out.

Comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price

Location was convenient for us with a short easy drive to our planned destinations. The staff members were very helpful and worked with us to correct our room issue upon check in. The staff members were helpful at check.in when we had an issue with the room. It was corrected very quickly. Thankfully they were able to move us, if not we would have had to find a different place to stay. Property location was convenient for us, only a short distance to planned destinations. The cereal options were a bonus for our daughter. However, variety for hot food was minimal, only tried it one of the two days. My wife and I each had a little something the first day, but we both decided to pick something up elsewhere.

− The initial room (313) we checked into was on the third floor, entrance canopy was to the right when looking out the window. The AC had been turned on and set before we arrived. This would have been great had it not pulled all of the cigarette smoke from seating area below into the room. It was terrible, we couldn't have stay in that room. I also did not want to be charged a "fine" for smoking in a non-smoking room due to the smell. My wife and daughter waited in the hall while I went down and talked to the check in desk. She got us moved across the hall. The rooms have very recently been remodeled and stripped of the expected cozy comfort that Country Inn used to be known for. We have chosen the brand for a like-home feel, the two rooms we saw does not have that feeling anymore. It is cold and sterile. The room we stayed in was very loud all night. Not from the hallway inside, but from all the outside noise. All of the hard surfaces in the room creates an echo and amplifies noise. It is likely we were some of the first to stay in this room (316) as the floors were gritty, turning feet and socks black. Some of the spackle had not been painted over and the baseboard edges and corners were almost all filled with drywall dust from the pre-paint sanding. Some of the outlets and blank cover plates had been replaced. While the bathroom switch and other plates had a partial coat of paint on them or were loose. Overall the fit and finish of the remodeled room was not well done. We were also very disappointed in the shower. It was also new (maybe the sliding glass was too?) and couldn't be more than 30" wide at max in this room. Photos I took are attached to this review.

− Had to get my keys reprogrammed twice, which meant I had to go back to the front desk after a long day on two separate nights, and I was only there three.
