We were attending a funeral and the location was convenient
7.0The gentleman who helped us with the luggage, breakfast was very good, ordered dinner at the bar and that was good
− Only one elevator worked, supposedly had a deluxe room for 3, rooms were small, we had to call for sheets for the bed
Elevator issue
6.0OK stay for offered price but then elevator needs to be fixed asap. I come here every month for a biz trip but it was already broken last month and still has not been fixed..
I had paid in advance, the pictures looked wonderful, what a scam!! My room was not what was advertised, when tried to d
2.0The location was only silver lining
− The staff were rude when I tried to explain that the room was not what was advertised. Refused a reimbursement, so was unable to go to different hotel. The elevator were broken in a 14 level building that was sold out!! Patrons had to use service elevator that is 2 years out of code!! The lobby floor was sticky!! Every floor stank like disinfectant on crack. Asked for towels as our room had zero, didn’t receive any until our last evening. I spent 460$ for an absolute disgusting place, rude staff.
It’s most worst hotel I saw under very big brand name

Hyatt Expectations, Oyo experience.
2.0I don’t write bad reviews often, but I expected a typical Hyatt experience but feel like I spent 3 nights at Oyo or Motel 6. I booked this property for a three night stay based on location and trust of the Hyatt brand. After checking in, I went to the bank of 3 elevators, pushed the call button and waited and waited and waited, nothing. An employee walked past and I asked if there was a problem with the elevators. He said, “yes, 2 of the 3 are broken, just use the freight elevator down the hall!” Ok, I walked down the hall and opened a door marked “freight elevator employees only” and pushed the call button. After several minutes, the rickety freight elevator arrived, and a large group headed to a wedding got off. They were not impressed by their ride in a dirty freight elevator. When I asked an employee how long the elevators had been down, he just walked away. I then read past reviews and discovered this problem has existed for months. On day 2, I had to get a new room key, so I asked a front desk worker when repairs would be made, he told me they were waiting on a new motor from China and it could take a long time. Here’s the thing; numerous air freight flights arrive daily at O’Hare direct from China. I’m calling BS on the motor excuse. There are signs in the hallway on every floor marked “vending and ice.” I went for ice only to discover there was no ice machine on my floor. I called the front desk to where an ice machine was, and she said, “just bring your bucket to the front desk, and we will get you some ice.” Huh? When I first entered my room, I had 4 k cups of decaf, no regular. I go to the desk and asked for regular k cups and was told, “we only have decaf.” The next morning, I got ready for a shower and discovered I had 3 bottles of conditioner but zero shampoo. I called the front desk and asked if someone could bring me shampoo, the lady said, “you’ll have to come to the front desk, we don’t have anyone here to bring you shampoo.” Dry off, get dressed, head to the freight elevator, wait, wait, wait. Get mad, walk to stairwell and walk down flights of stairs to get shampoo. After I reached the first floor landing, I see that the emergency fire escape door has been propped open with a piece of wood (see picture). I checked every time I used the stairs (many) and the door remained open for the entirety of my stay. It’s one thing to inconvenience guests with coffee and shampoo annoyances, it’s quite another to compromise guest safety propping open an exterior entry door that allows anyone to enter the premises 24/7. Also, the alarm on the fire door had been destroyed (see picture.) I don’t blame the staff, they were (for the most part) helpful and most apologized profusely about the conditions. The GM and owners need to be held accountable. I’m guessing a rebrand or closure is in the offing. How does Hyatt allow its brand to be trashed by ownership that won’t invest, has no standards and zero accountability? DO BETTER, HYATT1
There was old food in our refrigerator from previous guests.
