Beautiful stay completely ruined by one staff’s insulting behavior and lack of management accountability ​

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate her 10th birthday. Before the check-out incident, our stay was absolutely wonderful. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. Trinh for her thoughtful care regarding our room, and Mr. Anh (Guest Relation Supervisor) for his proactive support with the hot water issue. Also, Mr. Nguyen The Hau and the Essence Restaurant team gave my daughter an unforgettable birthday celebration on July 14th. I had actually drafted a glowing 5-star review because of them. ​However, everything was completely shattered right after check-out due to the hostile behavior of a specific lifeguard and the shocking irresponsibility of the management. ​Since post-check-out facility rules vary by hotel, I had strictly confirmed with Mr. Anh beforehand that we were allowed to use the pool and shower facilities. Yet, when we requested an additional towel for my young daughter who has long hair, the lifeguard on duty acted in an incredibly derogatory manner. He picked up a wet, dirty towel straight out of the laundry return bin and aggressively told me to use it. ​When I demanded a fresh one, he reluctantly brought it but intentionally held onto it tightly, refusing to let go easily while showing clear hostility. I was completely humiliated right in front of my child and had to openly ask him why he was treating a paying guest like a criminal or a thief. He only offered a dismissive, half-hearted apology after I strongly protested. ​What made it even worse was the management’s response. I immediately complained to Ms. Ly (Duty Manager) and Mr. Truong (Recreation Supervisor). Ms. Ly tried to quiet me down by offering free water sports activities, which I flatly refused. This is not about seeking minor perks; it is about basic human respect. Furthermore, when I formally requested a written incident report to document this violation, the Duty Manager refused, claiming the hotel has no manual or protocol for issuing one. ​It is deeply frustrating and heartbreaking that my daughter had to witness her father being treated like a thief by resort staff on her milestone birthday trip. A Premier-tier international hotel should never allow such poor staff discipline and lack of corporate accountability. I am so please during my visit best western premier. Staffs are so friendly, polite, helpful and respectful. Facility is clean and beyond expectations. I especially thanks to Ms. Tran Nguyễn from restaurant service. She gave us a warm welcome, made us feeling like coming home. Seeing her smile every day is a blessing gift for all visitors and myself. I appreciate everything the hotel and its staffs have offered. I would definitely recommend everyone stop by one when visiting Phu Quoc Island. Thank you.

Chúng tôi có kỳ nghỉ gia đình rất hài lòng tại Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc. - Điểm ấn tượng nhất là khu hồ bơi rất rộng và đẹp, tạo cảm giác nghỉ dưỡng thực sự. Hồ bơi có độ sâu rất an toàn với trẻ em. Khách sạn còn có pool bar ngay trong hồ bơi khá thú vị. Ngoài ra còn có nhiều hoạt động và thiết bị vui chơi dưới nước để khách trải nghiệm. - Kids Club là một điểm cộng lớn. Khu vui chơi có rất nhiều đồ chơi, sạch sẽ và phù hợp với trẻ nhỏ. Nhân viên trông trẻ rất tận tâm và thân thiện với các bé. - Bữa sáng đa dạng, nhiều lựa chọn cho cả người lớn và trẻ em. Dù lượng khách khá đông nhưng việc phục vụ và bổ sung đồ ăn diễn ra nhanh chóng. - Phòng nghỉ sạch sẽ, tiện nghi đầy đủ. Nhân viên chu đáo, mỗi tối còn chuẩn bị bánh chúc ngủ ngon cho khách, một chi tiết nhỏ nhưng tạo cảm giác được quan tâm. - Bãi biển và khuôn viên khách sạn cũng rất đẹp.

− Một vài góp ý nhỏ để khách sạn hoàn thiện hơn: - Trong phòng chưa có giỏ hoặc khu vực riêng để đựng khăn tắm và đồ vải bẩn, điều này hơi bất tiện với các gia đình có trẻ nhỏ hoặc thường xuyên sử dụng hồ bơi. - Tại khu hồ bơi có dịch vụ cho thuê một số phương tiện vui chơi dưới nước dạng thuyền/cano bơm hơi gắn động cơ. Cá nhân tôi cảm thấy loại hình này chưa thực sự phù hợp, đặc biệt khi có nhiều trẻ em đang vui chơi trong khu vực hồ bơi. Nhìn chung, đây là một lựa chọn rất tốt cho các gia đình có trẻ nhỏ.
