Wonderful Seaview aparment
10.0Lovely apartment in a fabulous location, definitelya home from home with great views of the beach. The private car park was unavailable at this time due to building work but we were given the opportunity prior to our booking for a full refund from the owners
− Not an issue for us but there are a number of stairs to reach the apartment.
Wonderful position of apartment , and very kind helpful owners
10.0Stunning views . Close to town . Comfortable bed . Spacious lounge. 2 bathrooms
− The stairs leading up to the apartment
Great host, great location sadly did not meet all our expectations
7.0Location, free parking and spacious Paul and Nicola were very helpful and pleasant.
− I was not aware there were so many stairs to the rooms, having had emergency heart surgery in October 2024 I found it very difficult to get to the rooms each time, thankfully on our arrival Paul offered to carry our suitcase upstairs which was very nice and helpful. Standard of cleaning was a lot to be desired lots of dust in the bathroom areas on the toilet roll holders and extraction vents, bathroom cabinets were dirty in the en-suite and Rusty in the bath / shower room. The Radiator in the en-suite was very rusty. we removed several cob webs from the lounge, I didn’t bother with the conservatory area. The sofas were covered in what appeared to be dog hairs, we used the hoover provided after emptying it, however that didn’t do much good. The cooker front was grimy and dishwasher had stains however we didn’t use either unit. All of the sinks and counter surfaces were spotless also the same could be said about the toilets. The lounge voiles (curtain) were very grubby and need to be washed desperately or replaced, the lounge doors leading to the decking were stuck and had to be kicked open after checking with Nicola ( lots of heavy rain recently) however the door locks and hinges were completely rusted so again needs attention urgently. Paul and Nicola were very kind leaving items in the fridge for us and a supply of tea, coffee etc.
I would not recommend,
2.0Views amazing, lots facilities if your cooking, dishwasher, shower and bathroom dog friendly. Balcony
− Firstly, carpark to apartments was out of action, so we had to park in public carpark. We we told by choice cottage and owner we would be refunded. I am still waiting 9 days later, after sending proof of carpark and bank details. We arrived late around 7ish it was dark we could not find entrance, to accommodation. Hour later walking up down Promenade with a dog crate, bags, dog we were exausted. Phoned the home owner, but there was no response until the next day. Reason could not find the place .. information given wasn't helpful. Actual building called Gabriel house and apartments, not RAPHAEL apartments. Intially looked clean, then we started to notice lots of cobwebs, dirt, hairs in the shower, mould, empty box by bin, outside area so slippery from mildew needed good jet wash as did all windows. We found a puddle of water socks that got soaked in the conservatory area, which reported no response. Heating on a set timer intructions left to contact owner, which we did have it lowered as our dog was panting we was too hot, again no response. Lovely views would be an amazing place if more attention to cleaning more care to your customers. Date of experience: 17 October 2024
Would highly and pet friendly too 👍🏻
10.0Very spacious, perfect location. Great views
− Car park closed however owners good enough to cover costs of local parking
Great location but expensive for the standard of accommodation
6.0The location was good and it was a clean apartment. Items in the fridge were a welcomed and nice touch.
− I understand it is pet friendly but the carpet really made the whole apartment feel unclean. Ideally a pet friendly accommodation should have wooden/laminate floors with rugs that can be easily cleaned. For me the carpets made the whole apartment feel grubby when it wasn’t. The outside area was also very dirty and not maintained to a nice standard. Again felt very shabby.
