Location. Balcony over beach. Great views.

− Very tired and worn. Cheap fittings, furniture looks like rescued from a skip, doors difficult to lock/unlock, rugs were trip hazards, too many steep and narrow stairs. Bathroom/toilet off the kitchen. Remote control to kitchen tv didn't work. Love the village and will come back but, sadly, not this property.

The location is perfect, easy walk into Appledore. Good also as starting point for local walks. The views out to the estuary are wonderful.

− It would have been nice if the outdoor seating had been cleaned after the winter. The configuration of the rooms made it that lots of stair climbing is required, so worth pointing out.

Appledore is a very friendly, quiet seaside village, had to come back for a second visit

− Property needs stairgates for little ones, everything else was provided

Magical Place So Glad we Stayed

Fantastic location, views of the sunrise across the bay were heavenly. Eating on the upper balcony was lovely, and breakfast on the terrace was nice and secluded. We had room for board games and were very cosy. We felt at the heart of things and in a very special place with the windows open when the tide is in you can hear the waves gently lapping against the bottom of the house. There's a toilet upstairs and a bathroom and loo downstairs so no issue for us. We felt very lucky to have holidayed in such a special fisherman's cottage.

− The only single thing for our youngsters was the WIFI, which was ok sometimes but poor quite often, which affected phones and the TV wasn't a smart tv. They may be planning to upgrade the TV or buy a firestick so don't let it put you off a truly magical cottage
