Our stay was nice and comfortable.
9.0Loved the location. Easy walking to restaurants and activities. Scoops ice cream right across the street. The room was comfortable. Loved the front porch.
− Our bathroom shower dispenser did not work. Ice machine did not work. Air conditioner didn’t work the best.
Not luxury cleaning or pest control
2.0My family has stayed at the the 2x, the first our room wasn't as clean as we'd like for the price. However, we let it slide and enjoyed our stay and just cleaned the room ourselves. There were items left from previous guess under the bed and the counters, or desk weren't wiped down, the little mini lotions in the bathroom were open and had dried suds like it was left from the last guess. Our second stay we checked in at night so didn't really see much until the next morning, the room again was not clean properly. There was also a major ant issue. We were on the 4th floor and the ant were everywhere. Crawling on our beds, floor, desk, bathroom, closet EVERYWHERE. We spoke with the front desk to change our room and they said they didn't have any rooms available but would come and clean the room and replace our sheets. The young girl from the desk came and vacuumed and sprayed the front of the floor. She said the manager would be her in the morning and would refund, discount, or provide a voucher for our stay. We couldn't leave hotel it would've been even more inconvenient especially with children. The next morning comes, manager isn't here and were told because we booked through a 3rd party app there is nothing they can do and offered us a snack from the snack shop or free breakfast item?! Really?! I really didn't want to leave this review I'd hope this would have been resolved properly. We learned that they knew about the ant issue but still decided to rent out the room. For the price you pay to stay here the cleaning is unacceptable and the skills to resolve any concerns are lacking.
Stella - Kenosha favorite!!
10.0Awesome stay at the Stella!! Had family there for 2-3 nights, rooms were great, love the location and staff! Special shoutouts to Kennedy and Rochelle, I had two separate stays there in late June and July (one family, one eleven friends), and they took outstanding care of us!!!!! Tony (General Manager), thanks again for everything and keep up the excellent work!! DON'T STAY ANYWHERE ELSE IN KENOSHA IF YOU CAN GET INTO THE STELLA! And don't miss Scoops across the street if you get a chance!
Not impressed
4.0The value for the money paid was so not worth it. We had 2 rooms- one for 2 nights and 1 for 1 night. We were part of the wedding party staying there. I was one of the first people to reserve a room and ended up getting the handicapped one. I was right across from the elevator and close to the stairs. You could hear every conversation as people would pass by our room as if they were in the room. We were on the highest floor so when the hotel lost power and we lost air conditioning, it was 80 degrees in our room, but yet we couldn’t open a window even though it was cooler outside. The bed was not comfortable and my daughter woke up with backaches. The second room we had did not have bath mats or shampoo or shower gel which we didn’t find out until my husband was taking a shower. It was also so uncomfortable, my husband left in the middle of the night only using the bed for about three hours and went to another hotel because he needed reliable Internet and a good place to sleep since he had important meetings the next day. I understand the staff was overwhelmed, and not every problem due to the brownout was their fault, but they could’ve been more accommodating in other areas. These rooms are relatively expensive for what you get. Rooms and bathrooms are plainly appointed. Positives - the hotel was clean.
I would definitely stay here again.
9.0The comfort, calmness and great food.
− Everything.
Not what it was two years ago. Needs to be managed better. Sad because it’s a beautiful
3.0Beautiful facility
− Dirty towels in the hallway for two days. Broken shampoo and conditioner containers so you could not dispense. Extra long delay - 45 min- at check in due to staff confusion and housekeeping lack of communication.
