− Nothing to do with Blyth Lodge - Local road closures! The detours/alternative route was long, but at least it was daylight.

7.0Nice location, although the back rds were in need of repair. Bed was comfortable.
− My fault for not reading the info, but I missed having a cooked breakfast. Also have the breakfast in our room was unusual and a bit of a squeeze. Could've done with a better fitting blind, as the light just came through the edges. Shower head only had up & down adjustment on the rail, so that was a bit annoying. Quite a bit of flakey paint on the ceiling, I was a decorator, so I notice these things. The host was nice, but gave me the wrong key code number, so wasn't the best of starts. Also felt a bit strange getting emails and txt messages when we were there as well.
The bed was comfortable, good choices for breakfast, was like staying with family
10.0Everything about the property was exactly as described, clean and well managed. The 2 mile walk to the shop via footpaths across open farmland is lovely.
Chris was very helpful and friendly and the stay was comfortable and enjoy able.

Guests do not have use of the garden although there is a bistro table and chairs directly outside 2 of the bedrooms window for use of the guests in those 2 rooms on a small paved area.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
