Terrible Experience
4.0This was the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. The elevators did not work (which meant walking 4 flights of stairs every time we left or came back to our room since our room was on the fourth floor), the pool could not be used for 2 days of our stay (in the middle of summer), ice machine was broken, the dryer was out of order, and there was mold in our AC unit. There was a huge price difference because we were there for a tournament which made it even worse for the amount of money we paid to stay there. Trying to communicate with management about our complaint was impossible. There was no management to speak to and we tried calling multiple numbers to communicate about our stay and no one would help. Extremely disappointed and will never stay here again.
Health and Safety Concerns – One of the Worst Hotel Experience's Ever Had
2.0I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about our experience at the Hampton Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt. Our soccer team had 17 families staying at this property for a tournament, and the overwhelming majority of us were extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, our team was required to stay at this hotel unless families paid a penalty, so we did not have the option to choose another property. We arrived expecting the cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards associated with the Hilton brand, but this hotel fell far below those expectations. From the moment we entered our room, there was a strong musty, mold-like odor. We also observed what appeared to be visible mold in the air conditioning unit. The condition of the room was so concerning and unpleasant that I became physically ill. As a double lung transplant recipient, being exposed to an environment with possible mold or poor air quality was especially alarming, and we ultimately made the decision to leave rather than continue our stay. Unfortunately, our experience was not an isolated issue. Many families in our group reported similar concerns with cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall condition of the property. Some of the issues experienced during our stay included: • A broken elevator. We were also informed that guests who were not part of our group had reportedly been stuck in the elevator for approximately three hours on the day we arrived. • The pool being closed on the first day of our stay. • Three out of the five floors having broken ice machines. • Multiple electrical outlets in rooms not working. • Bathrooms lacking proper ventilation and un cleaned • Stained bedding concerns. • Strong musty/mold-like odors throughout the property and visible concerns with the air conditioning units. For a hotel carrying the Hampton Inn and Hilton name, this level of maintenance and cleanliness is completely unacceptable. Guests should be able to expect a safe, clean, and comfortable place to stay—especially families traveling for a major youth sporting event. After our experience, parents from our team contacted the hotel directly, and several families also reached out to Hilton. Unfortunately, we have not received a satisfactory resolution or compensation for what we experienced. We were told we would be contacted within 2–3 business days, but we have yet to receive any follow-up. This was not one unhappy guest or one bad room. This was an entire group of families who shared similar concerns and frustrations. We hope hotel management and Hilton take these complaints seriously and address the condition of this property. I would not recommend this hotel to others, especially families traveling with children or anyone with respiratory or health concerns. If you have another option, I strongly encourage you to choose a different property.
don’t stay here
4.0the only good this about this hotel is the location and some nice staff. beyond that the hotel is dingy and worn down, we were not given regular amenities such as enough towels and soap. our ORIGINAL room was not ready upon our check in time and i saw that other people were also waiting for un-ready rooms at check in time. the entire place had a smell of sewage and just very outdated. you have to pay for parking in addition to your payment and we were given a ticket on our car because we did not pay right away which was NOT told to us. the outlet was basically falling apart and all the lights and outlets won’t work at the same time, with 4 people it’s very hard to get anything done in this room. the shower was also stained and disgusting… worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in.

9.0Everything was very good. Better than what I expected.
− The only bad thing was an elevator was down, so the wait times was a little long. Other than that everything was great!!
Worst Hotel Stay Ever
2.0Worst Hampton Inn Experience We’ve Ever Had I honestly can’t believe this was a Hampton Inn. This was, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences our group has ever had. Our soccer team was required to stay at this property unless families paid a penalty, so we did not have the option to choose another hotel. We arrived expecting the standard level of cleanliness and maintenance associated with the Hilton brand, but this property fell far below those expectations. The hotel was extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and had a strong musty, mold-like odor throughout the room from the moment we walked in. There was also visible mold in the air conditioning unit, which was especially concerning. Here are some of the issues we experienced during our stay: The elevator was broken, and we were informed that guests who were not part of our group had reportedly been trapped in it for approximately three hours on the day we arrived. The pool was closed on the first day of our stay. Three of the five floors had broken ice machines. Several electrical outlets in the room did not work. The bathroom had no ventilation. The bed sheets appeared to have urine stains. The room had a persistent moldy smell, and there was visible mold in the A/C unit. The condition of the room was so unpleasant that one member of our group became physically ill after checking in. For anyone with health concerns, especially respiratory concerns, this environment was extremely alarming. To make matters worse, our group included 17 families, and the overwhelming majority were extremely unhappy with the hotel. This was not an isolated complaint from one room; many families shared similar frustrations regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall condition of the property. For the price we paid, this was completely unacceptable. Basic cleanliness, functioning amenities, and proper maintenance should be expected at any hotel, especially a Hampton Inn carrying the Hilton name. I would not stay here again under any circumstances, and I would strongly recommend that others look elsewhere if they have any choice.
Disgusting place!!!
2.0I am absolutely shocked that this is a Hilton-branded property. Without question, this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The condition of this hotel was completely unacceptable and far below the standards I have come to expect from the Hilton brand. Our soccer team, consisting of 13-year-old girls and their families, was required to stay here as part of a stay-and-play tournament. We had no practical alternative, as staying elsewhere would have resulted in a $2,500 penalty under the tournament's lodging policy. Because of this, dozens of families were forced to stay at this property despite its condition. The hotel is extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and filled with a strong odor of cigarette smoke and mold throughout the building and inside the guest rooms. During our three-day stay, we experienced an alarming number of issues, including: The only elevator repeatedly broke down, trapping several guests inside. Some people were reportedly stuck for over an hour. The pool was closed the entire first day and for most of the second day. Ice machines were out of service on three of the hotel's five floors, including ours. Approximately half of the electrical outlets in our room did not work. The bathroom had no working ventilation to remove moisture. Our bed sheets and comforter had stains that appeared to be urine. Another family traveling with us found what appeared to be blood stains on their bed linens. The smell of mold in our room was nearly unbearable. We had already been moved from our original room because its condition was even worse. The mold was more than just unpleasant—it created a health concern for my family. My daughter has asthma and a reactive airway condition, and the mold exposure caused multiple flare-ups during our stay. She struggled to breathe and had to use her rescue inhaler far more frequently than normal. No family should have to worry that their hotel room will negatively affect their child's health. The problems extended beyond our own experience. While checking in, we witnessed guests demanding full refunds after seeing the condition of the property. They told us they were upset about paying approximately $125 per night. Our group, however, was required through the stay-and-play program to pay what we were told was a "discounted" tournament rate of $240 per night, with a mandatory three-night minimum. After taxes, our total came to $855, plus an additional $100 for parking. Charging nearly $1,000 for three nights at a property in this condition is simply unacceptable. Basic cleanliness, functional facilities, and routine maintenance are reasonable expectations at any hotel, especially one operating under the Hilton brand. I also spoke with several members of the housekeeping staff, who expressed frustration with the condition of the hotel. They told me they were embarrassed by the property's state and said they would not stay there themselves because so much of the building is outdated and in disrepair. This hotel does not reflect the quality, cleanliness, or reputation that guests associate with Hampton Inn or Hilton. I strongly encourage Hilton to thoroughly inspect this property and invest in the significant repairs and renovations that are clearly needed. Until that happens, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this hotel look elsewhere. There are undoubtedly better options than this property.
