6.0Overall my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Santa Fe was pleasant enough. The location worked fine for what I needed, and the staff were friendly. The lobby got a bit chaotic with an evening event going on, but it wasn’t a huge disruption. That said, when rates climb over $200 a night, the little things start to matter a lot more. Room service took over two hours to deliver something as basic as French toast(after ordering online, waiting …. messaging the desk to check- being told to call and place order, attempted to call and no answer, assumed I was S.O.L. and ordered door dash)2 hours later room service arrived—that’s just unacceptable. There were also several small maintenance issues around the room that added up: nothing catastrophic on its own, but the kind of stuff you’d expect to be handled at this price point. Overall, while the DoubleTree is a solid mid-tier hotel, the high rates don’t justify the lack of polish and service. I would consider staying there again if the price drops, but for now, it felt overpriced for my experience.
Pretty good place to stay in Santa Fe
8.0Nice, clean, reliable hotel with very comfortable beds. Staying here short beats paying extra fees, taxes, and parking near the downtown plaza. The Doubletree Inn is a nice option to avoid those extra costs.
