Bit of a downgrade to this property. Maybe temporary
8.0We have visited here many times. Lovely property, on the embaradaro, easy, safe walk to Petco Park or to the ferry to Coronado. Pleasant staff as usual. We are an older couple, "titanium" for Marriott, which is helpful. This trip was July 4-8. The check in was not available until 3pm, full hotel. Which slowed elevator waits. The checkin told us up to 20 min. We could wait in the "M" lounge, which had been moved to above the pool, accessible only by outside stairs. A downgrade. The hotel restaurant Marina Kitchen was moved to the pool level and no longer has the omelet bar. The bar by the restaurant is gone and the hotel has no proper bar! except at the pool. I am told these changes are temporary and will change back in October. Not sure what the hotel has planned, but would give it one less star.

9.0Beautiful property and pool. We like this hotel a lot. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Great location.
− Pool needs to be a bit cleaner. There should be ample staff available to help in the pool area with towels, clean up, and drink/food service. Very lacking with all of those services to make it more fun and enjoyable. Simple drinks from the bar were unavailable due to ingredients not being available. There is also a smell from the carpets in the rooms and hallways.
