Great Hotel If You Don’t Need Anything
6.0Confused how this is classified as a 5 star hotel. I booked a luxe king room and arrived to a room with two queen beds and was told there were no king beds left. I would write this off as a booking mistake since I booked on a third party site, but it seemed a bit more bait-and-switch given the reaction of the staff to me pointing out the mistake. After pressing, I was able to get moved into a king accessible room (so there WERE king beds left…..) During this whole debacle, the woman at the front desk was rude and condescending (“we can put you in an accessible room or you can just stay in the room you’re already in????” with an annoyed tone). Don’t work at a hotel if you aren’t good at being hospitable. Then the bellhop merely delivered us keys to the new room, did not leave a cart for our bags or offer to help us transition as we were told would happen. We did check in at 9:30pm, so maybe it was just overnight staff mentality, but again, 5 star hotel, no? Aside from the service, the stay was fine, but nothing to write home about. In fact, the grout of the shower was dirty. I’m not one to complain or write bad reviews, but after being treated poorly for a mistake made on their part, I decided to share. 5 star hotel should = 5 star hospitality, and if it doesn’t, you’re 3-4 at best.
