3.0Location
− Hotel was clearly mid renovation - our room was nothing like the pictures that we saw
Don't Stay Here. Sadly, run down.
3.0I have been avoiding this review because, other than the staff, the hotel was a mess. It had its best years in the 90s when it was remodeled/renovated to become one of the best deco hotel experiences, but it has changed hands 4x over the last 25 years and it is a shadow of its former self. Staff and location are the only things going for it.
− Very sad. I won't even discuss the price (typical NY price). The room was really small, beds uncomfortable, elevators tiny, the lobby, which years ago was incredible (food and drink served) looks like a ghost town -- you can see where they had a bar, ability to prepare food, etc. Very grim. I was embarrassed when my family walked into the room. It looks like the current owners/management company gave up on this hotel in spite of its long history. Thankfully, we only spent one night -- for about $750 including NY city fees. We should have stayed at one of the newer, modern chain hotels instead of this formerly great hotel that needs a complete overhaul.

− Non esiste un bar o ristorante x colazione
We always love coming to NYC
7.0Location is perfect, bathroom was good
− Stained carpeting, lobby is wasted space.
Not clean / uncomfortable stay
1.0The lobby is beautiful
− The sheets were dirty and the cleaners came in when u had the do not disturb sign on. The water turned cold and the phone wasn’t working in my room. Really poor experience. Some of these things were not fixed even after my checkout.
