I stayed at this Hyatt on July 17, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience. I paid over $600 for a single night for a standard king room, and the condition of the room was completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The room also appeared to have been poorly maintained. There was visible dust throughout the room, mold inside the light fixtures, and what appeared to be red mold in the shower. These are serious cleanliness and maintenance issues that should never be present in a room, especially one marketed as a premium accommodation. To make matters worse, there was a constant loud rattling noise coming from the restroom that continued throughout my stay, making it nearly impossible to relax or sleep comfortably. I chose Hyatt because I expected a higher level of quality and service. Instead, I left feeling like the room had been neglected and was not worth anywhere near the price charged. A stay costing over $600 per night should deliver exceptional comfort, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those expectations. I hope Hyatt management reviews this feedback seriously and reaches out to discuss an appropriate resolution. Based on the condition of the room and the overall experience, I do not feel the value of my stay matched what I paid.

*Rooms, concierge/reception and valet staff were very responsive and courteous. They genuinely smile and respond to greetings. *Room and bathroom size and lay-out is good. *Clean towels at the villa pool area. *Card keys worked the first time. *Wooden card keys. *Hotel tolerance to party noise at night.

− *Entrance/driveway to the lobby feels cramped. *Insufficient signs to hotel locations, e.g., to parking lot, to room locations and other facilities. *Two parking ticket readers are not easily identifiable which can cause driver confusion and/or traffic while entering or exiting the parking lot. *Room carpet was not neatly tucked in at the front door, - not a welcoming site.

Best staff and space for a reunion!

The staff at Hyatt Newport Beach were the best! We gathered for a family reunion and the staff were so accommodating and made my stay stress free!! The villas had a great space for families to hang out and relax and just enjoy each other on the property! The amenities were awesome! We golfed, played pickleball, enjoyed a yoga class and also played some cornhole! It was a fabulous weekend with the most accommodating setting and the best and most helpful staff!

Just a first rate experience from start to finish. Friendly at every turn, great facility, 3 pools, what's not to like! Golf, Pickleball, lots of fun lawn games, or just hang in your room and order room service.

I Won't be Back

I won't be back. The place is tired, and old, and getting to my room with my luggage required traversing two (2) staircases. Crazy, annoying set up.

Not the best for a convention but nice for family

The location was very nice, and it had a beach atmosphere. Hotel was dated and everything was a good walk from my room. I like to work out in a gym in the morning and theirs was small and full of people so gave up day one and went at 5am the next to get some work in on limited equipment. As a resort location they should upgrade the fitness center. The staff was nice and the room was large.
