7.0New and large rooms that were nicely furnished. In-house food was great and dining staff were the most professional and friendly.
− Some staff seemed to avoid contact with guests, unsure why. Definitely not ski in ski out during end season as the snow is too little for this. Location- Almost no other food options in the vicinity except for the crepe stand, kebab stand and eating at the info centre
Covenient, good price luxury stay!
10.0It was right at the ski slopes, and had a separate locker room for ski equipment. The staff was very friendly, and even insisted on driving us down to the parking when we left. The room was incredibly spacious, very clean and the breakfast was good, switching every other day. The hotel had its own little shop as well. They even had discounts for ski rental shops if you mentioned that you were staying at their hotel.

It's a comfortable hostel - not much more than that.
4.0location is fine if you only want to sky on Ryuoo, if you want to visit Nozawa Onsen which is a much bigger, better equipped resort, you need to travel for roughly 1/2 an hour. There is a shuttle but you need to book it and it doesn't return after 4.30pm. If you want to dine in Nozawa (and there are very, very few places to eat at Ryuoo) you need to book a taxi and this is not always possible, on at least one occasion we were almost unable to find a driver and could have easily been stuck in heavy snow.
− We booked thinking there was a spa available, these are only in some suites, the hotel itself has helpful staff but unless you only want to ski/board at Ryuoo, I really don't recommend it. The hotel has no vibe or easy bar to have a drink or socialise, it's essentially a comfortable hostel.

9.0Our suite was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and in a pleasant dining room. The free shuttle service was excellent. The drivers were very helpful.
