Tucked away country house hotel
7.0Lovely out of the way country hotel, tucked away, peaceful surroundings. Pet friendly room, able to keep our pets food in a fridge, always a bonus Lovely cooked breakfast
− First pet friendly room offered is an outside portacabin, not the luxury hotel I had booked and paid for. Manager understanding and we moved to a room.in the hotel that was more in keeping with our expectations based on price paid.

− The outside was scruffy and tired we had a dog so we’re staying out the back in chalet type room x very tired needed a good paint I was very disappointed But staff were lovely

9.0We booked 2 hours before our evening arrival and the staff were amazing. We had a lovely room with a jacuzzi bath which was very welcome after 3 days camping! The staff quickly set up a table in the bar for us for dinner. The food and breakfast the next day were both lovely.The grounds are great for a short evening walk and there were some great walks within 5 minutes of the hotel. This is a hidden gem to which we would definitely return.

8.0The staff were superb. The bar area and the dining room were fine, but lacking in a bit of atmosphere. The food at dinner was really, really good. The room was very nice
