10.0Cali Cottages is exactly what the name insinuates- a cottage. We chose to stay here based on the proximity to Rick’s Cafe. Our family of 5 fit nicely in the 2 bedroom. Please understand, this is a cottage. You will not have the amenities found at large resorts. There are just a few small cottages off a dirt road. There is an authentic breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurant right across the street after you walk down the dirt road (just a minute walking distance). We felt safe at all times. Clifford, the property manager, is a wonderful guy who greeted us immediately. I enjoyed sitting out one night talking with him. He helped arrange transportation with Trevor (Trevor ended up driving us everywhere we went and was reliable, honest and fair). Seven Mile Beach is a short drive away as is Rick’s Cafe (highly recommend). The roads are narrow and there aren’t sidewalks, so I wouldn’t suggest walking (except across the street to eat). If you are looking for an authentic Jamaican experience, Cali Cottages would be an excellent choice.
