Der Aufenthalt war okay, jedoch nicht bei weitem das, was man erwartet, beziehungsweise was das Hotel verspricht.

Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich wunderschön und punktet mit einer erstklassigen Lage und einer großartigen Aussicht. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr zuvorkommend, wodurch man sich vom ersten Moment an richtig wohlfühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Charme des alten Schlosses, der dem Ganzen eine märchenhafte Note verleiht und einen in eine andere Zeit zurückversetzt.

− Das Hotel hat grundsätzlich viel Potenzial, jedoch entspricht das Gesamterlebnis leider nicht dem Anspruch, den man bei einem Zimmerpreis von knapp 600 Euro pro Nacht erwarten darf. Besonders enttäuschend war der Wellness- und Poolbereich. Das Hotel wirbt mit Ruhe und Erholung, diese war jedoch aufgrund spielender und lautstarker Kinder am Pool kaum möglich. Vielleicht wäre es eine Überlegung wert, das Hotel – oder zumindest den Wellnessbereich – als Erwachsenenhotel beziehungsweise mit Erwachsenen-Zeiten zu führen, damit Gäste, die gezielt Ruhe suchen, diese auch tatsächlich finden. Auch der Service war leider nicht durchgehend überzeugend. Mehrfach erbetene Dinge wurden trotz wiederholter Nachfrage nicht aufs Zimmer gebracht, sodass wir uns schließlich selbst darum kümmern mussten. Hinzu kam ein deutlicher Mangel im Zimmer: Von der Zimmerdecke löste sich Farbe und hing sichtbar herunter. Ein solcher Zustand ist bei einem Hotel dieser Preisklasse schlicht nicht akzeptabel. Obwohl der Mangel gemeldet wurde, war er bei unserer Abreise unverändert vorhanden. In einer solchen Situation hätte ich mir zumindest eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit als Wiedergutmachung gewünscht – beispielsweise das bei der Anreise bestellte Brot für 9,50 Euro aufs Haus. Es geht dabei weniger um den Betrag als um die Geste und den Umgang mit berechtigter Kritik. Schade, denn das Hotel hat durchaus Charme. Bei diesem Preisniveau erwarte ich jedoch deutlich mehr Qualität, besseren Service und vor allem, dass das beworbene Versprechen von Ruhe und Erholung auch eingehalten wird.

Hotel Schloss Mönchstein exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely immersed in luxury. We reserved two rooms, and the staff took the time to help us choose the perfect accommodations for our family. They recommended a room that was ideally configured for our toddler and four-year-old, and their advice was absolutely spot on. Every detail met our needs perfectly, making our stay effortless from the very beginning. Both rooms were stunning, with breathtaking views overlooking the fortress and the city of Salzburg. Waking up to that scenery each morning was unforgettable. Every detail reflected exceptional quality—from the plush towels and luxurious bed linens to the elegant furnishings and décor. The amenities were equally impressive. We loved relaxing in the swimming pool and spa, and spending time at the Glass Garden was one of the highlights of our visit. Dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant was extraordinary, while breakfast each morning offered an incredible selection and impeccable service. We also appreciated the thoughtful snacks and refreshments provided in our rooms, another touch that made us feel exceptionally well cared for. What truly set Hotel Schloss Mönchstein apart, however, was its people. Every member of the team was warm, gracious, knowledgeable, and remarkably professional. They went out of their way to accommodate our family during meals while maintaining the impeccable service you expect from a world-class hotel. This wasn't simply a wonderful hotel stay—it was an experience we'll remember for years to come. Every aspect, from the accommodations and amenities to the dining and service, was first-rate. We left feeling thoroughly pampered and would recommend Hotel Schloss Mönchstein without hesitation to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Salzburg.

− DINNER BOOKINGS AT RESTAURANT WITH LIMITED SEATS AND TIMING. AS WE ARRIVED AT THE PROPERTY AT 5:30PM AND WISHED TO HAVE DINNER AT THE ONLY RESTAURANT. THE RESTAURANT WAS SOLD OUT AND WERE INFORMED THAT THE LAST ORDER WAS 8/8:30 PM

The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The hotel offered excellent service, and all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a great selection, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and enjoyable.
